Bodhicitta is a composite of two words. "Bodhi" meaning "awakened" and "citta" (pronounced "chee-tah"") meaning mind which actually refers to a combination of heart and the conventional Western notion of mind.

Here is a link to a talk that Khandro Rinpoche gave called "Practicing in Times of Adversity". It is audio only. As Rinpoche says:

"It is a time of unspeakable fear and disruption for most of the world. During such times of crisis and struggle which arise in our lives, our practice could be one of the first things we turn to."

These last two lectures have really been highlighting the path im walking. Rinpoche would say one thing ill say yeah but this and the very next thing she says is the very answer to my struggle with covetousness or whatever it is literally everything she has talked about in these last two lectures i have just gone through with my last job and the derailment i suffered from it. I fell off the path and lashed out in anger to which i broke my own body and my mind fell into a pit. Refuge is all i can do for now and study the teachings again.

thank you for everything you have shared this is the true golden nugget of the use of the internet for the good the true and the beautiful kandro rinpoche is all of these qualities so very gracious to have found this channel 🙏

Very well expressed perspective concerning the goal of dharma practice to be/become the practice itself. Applying the statistical method of successive approximation is indeed implied, but the selection of words did not specifically state so....a very enjoyable lecture. Odd to see it was in 2007. Sitting here at the screen, there is an immediacy of presence.

Listening to all your teachings it is helping me a lot on my practice. I will keep your every advice in my mind and put in to practice. What a blessing to hear your teachings.
