Loon lake is mainland NS. In fact this is in the Halifax regional municipality, on the Dartmouth side of the Harbour.

One of the pictures shown has my cousin and I think a young Uncle Jim is in one. Jim worked until the mine closed and then worked doing tours after. His pictures are all over the museum.
