Puss Puss has dealt with foxes before, I see! 🤣😳

I’m sure someone nearby has been feeding that fox. He’s not even afraid of you. He also looks like he has a sore back leg.

Mr Foxy is so beautiful. His leg is injured. Poor thing. I know it’s not ideal to feed them, but I would not have been able to resist it either. ❤love it.

The fox will dig under your main cage. Rocks all around the cage would help keep it from having a successful dig. Wish you best of luck keeping your birds safe.

I live in Michigan. A pair of fox killed 21 of my chickens in two days! I don’t hate them, but once they get accustomed to a food source they don’t leave. Also they will easily dig under your enclosures. Do everything possible to    encourage it to leave

Puss boy is the "bomb"...loved how he defended his territory 😂❤ Your tunnel is coming on splendid ❤

Haha Puss-Puss. There is NO way he is going to let some stray fox make friends with Alex and lose his nice cushy life!!!!

I agree with you both. Someone in the village has been feeding this fox regularly. He is very used to people and knew straight away you were putting food down for him. Our local foxes are so used to people, they hardly pay any attention when they see us in the garden. They are part of life in the countryside and in towns now.  The fact you fed him once is not what's bringing him back. It's the chickens. We have chickens too and they are a magnet for foxes. We still get excited when we see one. We have an automatic door opener. A game changer for us. The chickens put themselves to bed just before the door closes.🙂

PusPus did his duty!! Thanking the girls who took him in. He has a great life now. He is protecting his girls. Lolo. Love this.

Puss-Puss is using his feral instincts, to make the fox go away. PP has earned extra treats.🙂.

the cat springing into action to protect its family [ everyone ] is the best thing i have seen on the internet for a long time, would make a great shorts video,

Encountering a fox is often interpreted as a positive omen, symbolizing adaptability, intelligence, and heightened awareness. It can also represent a period of transformation, urging you to embrace new opportunities and challenge old patterns. Nice! 🦊

What a beautiful red fox , they are brilliant animals, smart and curious! Our one female cat does the same thing, and our local fox are terrified of her, lol!

Pussboy seems to have the fox defense instinct in him!

This fox looks to have an old leg injury as I noticed a limp in it's one rear leg when it was trotting.

The fox also have their babies in April, and the dad and the mums are having to bring in extra food for the kits to eat as well as a nursing mum. So that may be why you got the visit but they will pass by if there is no opportunities.

Having them around is the beauty of living in the country, and of course they belong as much as we do so minding your critters and your land helps to not just protect those things but also these beautiful fox!  They are also excellent at helping with rodent control!

Many year ago I was working at a house that had quite a large garden, I was painting a window and in the reflection I saw a fox at the bottom of the garden coming towards me, I turned around slowly and watched as it came closer. The owner of the property opened the kitchen door and the fox quickened its pace and ran in. It turned out that he had rescued a fox cub from children that had been throwing stones at three cubs, the mother was dead and sadly also two of the cubs. He took the surviving cub home and nursed it back to health, he said that he treated it as a wild animal and as soon as it was strong enough and old enough to look after itself he put it back into the wild, however, more times than not the fox would turn up almost at the same time and was given a meal. It didn't want to know me, but while he was slightly timid he was friendly to the man that had saved his life. It still stays with me as one of the most remarkable experiences I have ever had and taught me that all animals are sentient creatures and respond accordingly to how they are treated by us .

Time for a dog to join your family.

He will be back. they are brazen and HUNGRY. Thank you for sharing!

The fox may not stop until he gets one of the chickens. They can find the smallest of holes to get through. Good luck on keeping the chickens safe !!!!🐔🐔🐓

That fox is the healthiest fox I have seen , I think it is a rescue and release probably with a snare injury judging from the limp  . It is also the most beautiful fox I have seen ,  reclaiming its place in the wild given time .
We don’t have foxes here in Shetland but we have otters ! They take the place of foxes on our island and they are so common . It is funny to see wildlife tours take money off tourists to see otters when they are all around .
Well done with the polytunnel , my hubby is well impressed with your work !

Man shwew’s feather look like a Gustav Klimt painting. 🥰

The Fox was a warning. You have been talking about making the chickens more secure for some time, and now you have. That the fox had no fear was amazing.
