We spent a full day travelling on Northern train services to see how many miles we could cover.
It was a long long day and something we probably wouldn't repeat, but we're glad that we did it!
Full cost and distance info included in the video 😁

You are aware that you don't need to leave Lime Street station for Wetherspoons.....if you turn right after the ticket barriers, there's access in the far corner past Boots

Brilliant video. I'm 10 minutes walk from Kiveton Bridge Station which is Northern Rail. I'll have to get planning.

5:33 - It says Burley Park so people don't go the long way to Leeds. The other way, from Leeds - it says destination is Poppleton, not York.

That is the old railway control tower for Gascoigne wood pit railway sidings at 4.14 it was used to control the trains coming into the pit to be filled with coal, there was a big conveyor belt across the track carrying the coal, I used to do the maintenance on it in the 90s.

Would be good to do a challenge, see what the record time is to travel through every station (like the tube challenge) using just northern trains, passing through all northern stations.
