The plastics industry reminds me a lot of my ex-girlfriend, lying gaslighting, manipulating wasteful insulting, mean and toxic waste

"Why can't we just send it to space?" Has she never seen Futurama!?

The government wants to touch my cans sounds so dirty

It could be possible, if money magically stopped being humanity's only and  ture God

Fun fact: Hagfish slime is being looked into for a biodegradable plastic. It's because the slime is so thick.

I remember hearing out of all the types of recyclables, only two of them are actually recyclable and the rest is treated as trash

Big Oil being able to get away with not paying for the recycling of the plastic waste they are creating, is the main problem.
Once they have sold their products, they wipe their hands clean and are no longer held responsible.

Always a good day for FruitCakeVT

13:50 Berry out here trying to invent an antimatter drive 😂

Ive worked so many places that "recycle" but yet we throw all the cans and plastic in the exact same place as the trash. All in the compactor!

Something that gets me is how similar Thneed in the Lorax is to plastic in our real life. It was more supposed to be a commentary on deforestation but it also seems to share similarities with the introduction of plastic on a mass scale.

Just thought it was interesting and wanted to share it.

I’m nominating berry crepe for white boy of the year 2027

Today we learned that Berry is strong, flexible, lightweight, heat resistant, and apparently cheap.

1:51 Don't worry Berry! Taxation is still real and will never stop!

Back to the ground.  It comes from petroleum - came from the ground.  You're just sending the little guy home.

Forget about cocaine, meth, or any other illegal substance; it's plastic that humanity is the most addicted to.

I've worked in a food factory in Japan, they sort out most of the large plastics, PET bottles, tin cans and raw materials, but we still have dozens and dozens of bags that are mixed with plastics, paper, tiny metals and other filth that is near impossible to sort.

We also don't sort them by biodegradability, we sort them by if they're burnable or non-burnable waste.

So yeah, recycling is not real.

44:34 There's a whole episode of Futurama's first season that shows why that's a bad idea.

In Calgary Alberta, they send you a pamphlet of information, and if you put the wrong things in the bin, the truck driver checks whats in the bin before dumping it, and just leavs it full with a note of what you have to take out.

It fills half my tank once every two months.
