Anytime Rita sings in my pub gets my heart strings going it would be such a lovely way for her to go out of the show with one last sign song and a clip of some of her best scenes over it
i had a dream last night. i was in coronation street. everyone was happy and settled, no one was screaming. no one was having an affair, no one was scheming behind someone's back. no one told vicious lies about someone else. it was lovely. then i woke up and it's back to this rubbish. which i am rather fond of let me say. i do hope Katy wakes up before it's too late. nothing good can come of it.
Starting with Carla's rape, then Becky pushing Tracy down the stairs, now Kirsty accusing Tyrone and Jason accusing Carl of starting the fire- it just feels like they are recycliing the same old story trope; the wrong person gets the blame and the audience know who it really is and we are forced to sit through characters blindly believing the wrong person and being horrible to the real victim until a few months later the truth comes out and all is forgiven! I think Steve believing Tracy over Becky was the most stupid example though.
1:16:00 this scene is so sad, I know in no way Kirsty can ever been justified but undeniably you cannot doubt that because of the environment she grew up in, that caused her to lash out like that. It is so sad, especially for Kirsty mother, the guilt, the self blame must be horrible. And then she still puts up with it, this whole Soames storyline is depressing and the dad shoudve been punished on the show in some way
I wish Stella would open her eyes and get that dumb ex-boyfriend of hers away for good out of her life she's always letting them step in and do something and end up destroying everything she's trying to billed can't watch I'm a fast forward thru this mess
Katy getting chesney to have a child then eventually cheating on him leaving him and then taking his son to Portugal is a shame poor chesney wish they had kept him on the markets
