Excavation work has begun near a network of tunnels built by prisoners from Nazi concentration camps in Austria, with the hope of finding secret rooms that might answer researchers' questions about whether Hitler was close to developing an atomic bomb.

This bunker system has nothing whatever to do with Hiitler. It is a part of the French Maginot Line constructed in the 1930s which was already obsolete by the start of the 2nd World War. The Germans simply went around it by advancing through the Ardenne Forest at Sedan.
