I'M BACK WITH MORE HALF-LIFE.

Everyone seemed to enjoy Alyx, so I've forced my way to do another Half-Life VR video. Now we just need Half-Life 1 to be remade in VR. And we can complete the triforce.

The next major video will be Fallout: New Vegas, but based on how this one does I will review Half-Life 1/Black Mesa pretty soon. Regardless of if it is put into VR!

He finally did it... He finally evolved to a true YouTuber/streamer. All he needed was to color his hair.

"The Magnum is like the Hand of God reaching down and decimating your enemies."
I don't think I've ever heard a truer statement relating to Half-Life ever.

I absolutely support referring to Valve as "Faucet" going forward 🤣

Okay, the thing about grabbing random items is absolutely on point. In some areas I just started walking with my hands up high to avoid dragging things along.

This man's dedication to his gags is legendary

Bro I love how much his wife puts up with his shenanigans and helps him with his skits. It's such a nice thing and it makes me happy whenever I see it. Cuz I sit here knowing there both having a blast.

This was the first I heard about Sid! I’m so sorry for your loss. Hope everyone’s handling it well ❤

Established Titles is a scam. According to Scottish Land Law, 1 square foot of a souvenir plot of land can't get you anything. Also They're the same people that own Kamikoto knives and deal dash.

Obsessed with the gag that required someone (presumably his beloved wife) chuck a chair at him.
Also god I love upisnotjump's writing and editing, I wish I could afford membership still

I massively agree with you on the gunplay. By the middle of Ravenholme, I was jumping onto the ground crawling backwards shooting In a desperate attempt to escape zombies. I could pick up debris to use as a shield. On the beach section, I would duck and dive in real life to get behind cover. Nova Prospect had me flipping over tables, and throwing grenades back IT IS SO IMMERSIVELY FUN. This game, as well as RE4 translate so incredibly well to VR and because of that, they are timeless.

Seeing the intro for HL2 in VR sent shivers down my spine until I realized I could lean forward and kiss Gman. Then it shivers to my [REDACTED]

I love how even Jump is taken aback by that weird noise Eli makes at 14:20

Also as a HL fan since kid yeah the silent protagonist isn't that interesting, it was more about atmosphere for me. But I'm happy you got to cover this game!

I loved the SHIT out of this mod. Half-Life 2 is not just one of my all time favorite games, but it also has my most favorite of all game worlds. I love how "lived-in" the world felt, you could imagine what life was like for whoever it was that had setup a home in some remote corner of a forgotten sewer. Seeing it all at full-scale in VR was like a dream come true.

Established titles is most likely a scam. According to Scottish law, they can't actually do what they claim to do. A YouTube called Scott Shaffer goes a little bit more in depth about it. Other YouTubers like SomeOrdinaryGamers apologised for it.

For anyone using a quest device:
On the grabbing everything issue: That doesn't happen on quest devices since the grab control is more easily avoided (Not an enforcement of facebook. They can burn in hell). This fixes most of the issues with the 2 handed weapons too.
The vehicle sections are completely unplayable (I ended up walking them instead). They do have a FOV function that gives you tunnel vision, but it doenst really help that much.

I am 17 yet I still absolutely loved Half-Life 2. I appreciate how revolutionary it was, but it remained a good game nonetheless.

Ladders were a nightmare for a second until I figured out how to use them. Five minutes later they updated the game and changed the ladder mechanics lol.
