"The Caliphate is the solution" was a slogan at a demonstration last weekend in Hamburg, where Muslims protested against Islamophobic policies in Germany. Freedom of expression is a fundamental right, but how far can criticism go in and against Germany?

This is the topic of discussion among the guests on Markus Lanz's talk show. FDP politician Linda Teuteberg, in particular, takes a critical view of the demonstrators. She notes that the organizers of the demonstration are currently trying to justify their motives: "There are videos from 'Muslim Interactive' now, where this is further justified, where they very cleverly try to portray it as constitutional." However, freedom of religion does not automatically mean that it cannot be criticized. Calls for a Caliphate are incompatible with the German constitution, which is why Linda Teuteberg advocates for harsher penalties for those who openly utter such statements.

Therefore, the question also arose during the discussion as to whether it is even possible for such demonstrations to be registered.
