The thing I like about your channel, is you leave in the rabbit-holes that things like bad batteries you expect to be good tripping you up. It happens to all us techs, and it's the type of things that gives beginners the confidence to have go.When they see more seasoned techs get caught with things unplugged, or bad batteries, it lets beginners know they're not the only ones ti get caught with what feels like a silly mistake, but is actually pretty common. Anyway, good fix, and what a strange failure mode of that diode. 👍

Once again, a really great repair. I wouldn't expect a non-diode diode in this scenario, where there's almost no voltage or amperage.

I think your idea to play the lottery is actually pretty good. ;)

Murphy sta gongolando! Queste sono le cose che capitano sempre a me: benvenuto nel club dei fortunelli! Giusto qualche mese fa stavo diventando pazzo dietro ad una scheda video che non dava nessun segnale, ne l'HDMI ne la DP. Beh, erano i cavi... entrambi... nuovi. -.-
