I am a 38 year breast cancer survivor! I was 37 years old when I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, only given a 5 year survival rate by the surgeon, but 38 years later I am doing great! I took a year of intense chemo, it exhausted me, made me sick, but by God’s Grace, I survived and doing fine!

I was diagnosed with Stage III lung cancer at age 71. Five chemo/Keytruda treatments (with no serious side effects, no hair loss) shrunk my tumor dramatically. I had the rest removed through a lobectomy. Now I'm cancer free and doing fine. So, if you get a bad diagnosis, even in your 70's, don't assume the worst. There's always hope for a full recovery.

I've just finished 6 months of chemo, away from my home town. My younger sister, brother and father have not been here for me at all this whole year since my diagnosis. It's been crushing. I was managing the cancer & the chemo ok but the total lack of support from my half my direct family really crippled my spirit & will to live.

I hope that everyone here has loving and supporting family to stand by their side during their cancer journey. I think family support is so important - wishing you all very well in your treatment and recovery🙏.

And for any family members in here - the love and support you are proving is invaluable xxxx

In 2007 I was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer metastasis to my liver stage 4. 11 inches colon removed 4 inches rectum removed right lobe liver removed. 12 rounds on chemotherapy. it was not to bad. to this day 2024 cancer free.

I was so tired after chemo, I just went to bed and rested, let the meds do there thing. Wasn't hungry or thirst but loved watermelon, perfect, hydration and vitamins. Lost my hair it grew back snow white and curly was so funny to me. Nails broke easy were a mess. Oh it wasn't bad, just keep hope alive and be strong. I have been free from my lung cancer for eight years.

Stay positive people, my Urologist first asked me if I saw my test results online. I had no idea there was such a thing. Then he told me I have prostate cancer, the way he told me was like I had 2 weeks left to live. I soon did all my own research and talked 2 two Oncologists. my Chemo Oncologist told me I had the best attitude of any of her patients. I have simply decided this is not going to kill me and I am doing everything I can to heal my body. I know that doctor is not God, and I also know that a positive attitude is 90% of everything. No one told me that some of my family would take my diagnosis way harder than I. Thankfully my daughter is riding the wave with me and keeping it positive. Chemo starts in a week for me and I got this. You got this. WE got this ❤️

Ignore peoples advice , I agree 100% suddenly everyone you know is a cancer specialist. I realized that early on and started telling them if they want to help me come over and clean my house , vacuum , do the dishes . clean my toilet . They shut up real fast and no body offered to help clean my house but they did shut up.

I was diagnosed of breast cancer last October 10 with er-pr-her2+ T1 and started my chemo last Nov 16 till now and in God's will it ended on the 29th of this January 2025 for my 12 cycle..it's every week treatment for me ..I thought I would loss my hair so I decided to shave it but now am on my 9th cycle my hair still there and growing..praying that every cancer warriors will be soon cured including me❤🙏
