Hello. I'm a beginner in weaving. After spending a few days browsing YouTube, I came across your tutorial. This is the clearest video I've seen so far about setting up a loom. The filming is high-quality, the speech is calm, even, and clear. Thank you! 😊

Hands down the BEST how-to video for beginners and your video is 2yrs old... THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I've just spent 3 days watching videos on rigid heddle weaving so I can help my teenage daughter, who has decided she wants to learn this [I'm just a poor humble knitter - I don't even crochet!!]  This is by far the very best tutorial on youtube.  Not only do you cover everything is a very clear manner - but you also do so in a very efficient manner without a lot of distracting filler and/or detail that beginners don't need.  I don't mean to be harsh on the very kind people who have given of their time and knowledge to also prepare and post tutorials - thank goodness for such kind people.  But you seem to have a unique talent for being interesting, informative, and also to the point.

this is the BEST video tutorial ive seen! the official ashford video for setting up the loom left me completely confused, but this is making it all so clear!!

I just bought my Mom a 16 inch rigid heddle loom and taught her how to use it! Incredibly rewarding experience.

Your a great teacher. After my first class I got home and couldn’t remember how to set up my loom. You rescued me! I’m two years out and loving this craft. Thanks !

Thank you for the slow, methodical, & thorough tutorial!! I really appreciate the effort it takes to put this together!

Wow!  The mysteries of the heddle loom explained in plain English.  Awesome job and thank you.

The best tutorial!

Just beautiful!  The yarn shop woman was right about using the chunky yarn.  You can see the warp yarns so good.

One of the best instructions on the internet. Thanks.

Thank you for your clear, complete instructions! I did a lot of weaving on my Ashford loom about five years ago and then went on to other projects. I've gotten the urge to weave again and needed to relearn everything I had forgotten. I hit the jackpot by finding this video. Thank you SO much!

There is another way to load the shuttle : alternate loading the ends like a cross sideways , so the yarn does not bulk up , that it passes trough easier . I can’t explain it good with words , but look it up , you can load more yards to pass trough , and the loaded yarn is flatter to pass trough ..

WOW !This is a great demo ! At the end you say "hope you have learned a lot". Well, I learned "everything" here ! My little loom has been sitting in the basement for years ... and had no idea how to set it up. Am sure I can do it now that I saw your video. THANK YOU ! Also thank you for the hint of thick yarn to show the warp.

Very well taught. Good teacher!  Clear instructions!! No extra talking !

I hope one day I will apply all what I learned in this viedo, I dont have loom yet , crochet and knitting now is the possible choices I do, thanks for benefetial content, peace from palestine🌸

I am going to take weaving class soon and wanted to be prepared. Your tutorial was amazing. As you were speaking about Jane and your LYS, I realized that Jane is the weaving instructor  I am going to take classes with. Such a small world!!

I know this video was made more than 4 years ago, but I am just now seeing it. Your fringed scarf is beautiful. I love the twisted ends. I didn't now how that look was achieved. Thanks for sharing the technique, along with the loom, in this video.

I am happy you are sharing every detail even the things that are very basic because I am learning ❤ and I know absolutely nothing and everything you are showing is what I was wanting to learn ❤

Such a clean video and explanation! I’m so excited to get a small heddle loom. There’s something so amazing about fibre crafts, knowing that making fabric has been something so sacred to humanity, and one of first inventions to keep ourselves safe and warm. ❤❤❤
Thank you for the video, it’s going to be watched many many times by me as I figure out what the hell I’m doing 😂❤
