This story is entertaining,it is not done by a story teller, it is told as someone giving you information. No feeling whatsoever,information given for information sake. This is unfortunate, sooo sorry because had the subject matter been carefully studied it could have been a great success 😢🇨🇦

This story makes no sense.  Why wasn't the bride's family in the church if they didn't realize she had eloped?  If they did know, did they know the companion would follow through with the marriage?

How could the Vane dowry fortune pass to the Duke when Ms Vane had eloped with another?

All kinds of liberties are taken by fiction writers.  Your questions are the blows the writer will have to endure.  Regency and Victorian fiction readers are sticklers on historical accuracy.  AI is an idiot.
