China’s Ship Near Taiwan Raises New Alarm in Philippines | The Palki Sharma Show | IGR

The Philippines has confronted a Chinese research vessel operating near the Batanes islands, a strategically important chain between Luzon and Taiwan. Manila deployed its largest coastguard vessel, the BRP Teresa Magbanua, alongside an aircraft after the Jia Hai Ke 7 remained in the area. Philippine authorities have raised concerns that the vessel could have been gathering information near undersea communications cables, though Beijing describes such vessels as conducting research. The episode comes as Chinese President Xi Jinping again reiterated Beijing’s position on eventual “reunification” with Taiwan, adding another layer of sensitivity to the maritime encounter.

Thank you so much for your balanced and brave reporting on the Batanes incident near Itbayat. It means a lot to us Filipinos when you say "It's Philippine Waters" — because it truly is our EEZ.
Many channels still say "South China Sea" even when the incident is inside West Philippine Sea like Sabina Shoal and Ayungin Shoal. You are different — you tell the truth.
Congratulations on The Palki Sharma Show on India Global Review! You deserve your own show. We Filipinos admire you and we are grateful. Your voice is important for us — From Batanes to Jolo!
Mabuhay po and God Bless! 🙏❤️
