Loved this show more than any of the others

These are the best videos, purely about fishing, no one trying to sell you tackle you don't need, telling you to use kilo's and kilo's of bait, it's ridiculous, unnecessary and whatever they say about the ingredients of the bait it's not good for the fish, certainly not in the volumes people are using. Modern big lump carp fight nowhere near as hard and long as old stock "natives" if you like. They are big fat and round, original English stock carp (where you can find them) are much nicer fish in every aspect. The popularity of carp fishing has pushed it in a commercial direction and I appreciate that not everyone can get on waters like this so the current state of play was inevitable. Canals might surprise you with what some of them hold.

Magic  ta very much  best angling program of its decade

I don't get this idea that carp are shy and hard to catch. On a day ticket water I fish they seem positively domesticated and literally turn up and beg when you throw in bread like swans. Then all you have to do is drop a crust on the surface directly under your rod with no tackle in between and wham! You can't miss and are into a 10lber.They seem to accept being caught as a fair deal for deal for all the ground bait they get
