He died in 1970, Bro! I met him in 1968, and saw him play 3 times that same year. He was very shy and quiet offstage. He was my hero. A          rock star who looked like me! :hand-purple-blue-peace:

On stage he was a totally out of control rockstar. In studio he was known to be a perfectionist.

And that's a 12 string guitar. Jimi loved Robert Johnson. Jimi was a shy humble guy off stage.

This man  was  and is my soul! The man makes his guitar speak like it is another vocalist!

12 string no less WOW

Jimi Hendrix was always magical to me...love hearing him play...and especially like it when you find little gems like this.

Jimi was a very shy guy. In the studio he would sing behind a screen, so no one could see him. He often asked his friends if his clothing was ok and acceptable. Quite the opposite from his stage persona, he was very shy and introverted.

Jimi grew up in a house where his parents listened to blues, so he got his basics down early, "Hear my Train A'comin". He ad libs some of his own lyrics to the song, such as Voodoo boy, and how he will make it big and come back and buy that town. People don't understand Jimi was blues, he just kicked it up a notch. Remember JImi died September 18, 1970 at 27 years old.

What blows me away is that he never saw 30 years old.  Imagine what he would have accomplished if he hadn't died?

Love Jimi

Yes indeed, Jimi Hendrix was the man ... so cool.  :hand-purple-blue-peace:🕊☮💙

Rare gem indeed, love Jimi! Thanks for sharing 💜☮

Love seeing live footage of Jimi Hendrix.   Especially when it is something that shows him just messing around with a guitar.

🌸 aaahhh, Jimi. 🩵

This is such ancient history. I saw this when I was just a kid, and I'm over 65 now. Great to see, but not new.

Jimi was very, very chill

Legends never die...
