i remember watching this race it was on the weekend following the 9/11 attacks, saturday Alessandro Zanardi had a horrible accident in indy car in Germany which i also watched live on tv, it was a pretty heavy atmosphere.
If only those BMWs had been more reliable... Here, the car made it through and you immediately see how fucking quick Montoya really was. That guy deserved at least 2 titles.. what a shame
I sure miss the howling sound that the V12s, V10s and V8 engines used to make. Modern F1 cars sound more like vacuum cleaners than the screaming banshees that they used to.
A "ferrari" fez o RB perder essa corrida no primeiro pit stop, quando fez o reabastecimento depois que trocou os pneus, tentando ajudar o MS, perdeu como sempre pra si mesma...
Ferrari's cars had no advertisements or sponsor logos during the 2001 Italian Grand Prix as a mark of respect for the victims of the September 11 attacks that occurred just five days prior. The team, with the full agreement of its commercial and technical partners, made the decision to strip their cars, drivers' overalls, and helmets of all branding to show solidarity with the American people in their time of grief. As an additional sign of mourning, the F2001 cars also featured a matte black nose cone.
Other teams also altered their liveries for the somber event, including Jaguar, which added black engine covers, and Jordan, which displayed American flag decals
