She is at the point in her career where she has crossed legendary status. And because she's not where she once was (and VERY few ever make it anywhere close) a large group of people dismiss her as a "has been" and won't be able to truly appreciate her body of work and accomplishments until she's gone. This same process happened with MJ and Prince. For those who aren't real fans, only in hindsight will they be able to appreciate the magnitude of her talent and her work.

Mariah wasn't lying about Jennifer Lopez at 3:04. A different YT channel did a documentary on Ashanti. Ashanti was pissed that alot of her hit songs went to Jennifer Lopez. And she was singing over them!! So J-Lo was lip syncing to them.

So the fact that Mariah knew this back then speaks volumes.

She wasn't lying about JLO lmaoooooo

when she was talking about lasting over 20 yrs on sexiness and image alone she was clearly talking abt Madonna lmao.

Now I see why everyone always labeled her a "diva". Truth is she stood up for herself and they had a problem with that.

I actually gained a little more respect for her because of this

Saying she was never abused, I think she may have been emotionally abused by her controlling first husband Tommy Motola he maybe didn't hit her but abuse doesn't have to be physical.

Artists are the greatest .. media is trash! Simple.

Lady Gaga said it, Put The Artist First and let the artist be in control

Mariah is an Artist. JLo is a showgirl/cabaret act. The two shouldn't even be in the same sentence.

I don't like that people call her a diva and dismiss her feelings. She seems like a person who's been through hell behind the scenes. We as humans can only be fake nice and fake smile for so long before we get so drained that we just say screw it. I love Mariah, and I hope she feels truly loved by her fans and not let these hateful people drag her down.

"Success,It cant last forever and SOMEDAY, I want to something thats less commercial" - She basically has accomplished that now.

Finally i know why she doesnt like jlo

It’s so funny because when she said that about JLO the general public didn’t realize that all those choruses on her hits were the original demo vocals by superior singers... everyone thought Mariah was exaggerating to make a point, but now everyone knows!

This video was quite instructive. She explains the good, the bad and the ugly about the music industry, as a multiracial female music artist.
Thanks 😉 !

People get so caught up with the “failures” that they don’t realize these celebrities are human and will make mistakes. They also act like the negatives outweighs the positives in every situation. In her life, they don’t. Just like Whitney Houston, yes, it was a shame what happened with the addiction but people didn’t start talking about how good of a person she was and how she was a legend in her own right until she died. We have to stop looking at the failures in these celebrities lives as if that defines them.

A lot of celebrities had breakdowns during the late 90's and early 2000's. Some survived some didn't. Celebrity life these days seemed to be a lot easier than then. There isn't as many tabloids and paparazies thanks to social media. Tabloids were brutal back then and probably caused many famous people unnecessary mental stress. Mariah is a survivor.

I like JLo as an actress and not as a singer.
