This is one of the most famous landmarks in the world, bringing millions of tourists into Egypt each year simply to come and see the Pyramids. Today we will be taking you on a full experience from buying tickets to enter, wandering the grounds, dealing with sellers, entering a pyramid and seeing what foods/drinks are available on site. They even have a free shuttle bus system to drive you around the grounds if you don't want to walk.
Built roughly 4,500 years ago during Egypt’s Old Kingdom (around 2550 to 2490 BCE), the Pyramids of Giza are three massive stone monuments constructed on the desert plateau just outside modern Cairo. They were built as grand royal tombs for three successive Pharaohs—Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure—who believed these giant structures would help secure their journey into the afterlife and showcase their power as living gods. The largest of the three, the Great Pyramid of Khufu, originally stood about 481 feet (146 meters) tall and was assembled using over two million heavy limestone blocks stacked by tens of thousands of skilled workers and laborers. Today, as the oldest and only surviving wonder of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Giza complex remains a symbol of ancient engineering, history, and human ambition.

The middle pyramid looks bigger as it was built on a higher ground. It still has some of its original casing stones near the top. Originally, all three pyramids were covered in smooth, polished white limestone, which would have made them shine brilliantly in the sunlight. The smallest had a red granite outer casing (kinda to makeup for its size by having a very expressive outer casing) What we see today is mainly the inner structure (filling material), which was never intended to be exposed.
