Αγαπητέ κύριε Ρανιέρι , με την βοήθεια των υποτίτλων (διότι η προφορά των αρχαίων με των νέων ελληνικών έχει διάφορες) , μπόρεσα να σας καταλάβω στο εκατό τοις εκατό και χωρίς να έχω κάνει αρχαία ελληνικά στο σχολείο (είχα διαλέξει θετική κατεύθυνση).

I studied Old Greek and Latin. Till today, I read my Bible in Greek and then, in my mother tongue, Portuguese. I began learning Dimotiki (Δημοτική), or "Demotic Greek", but later a teacher moved to my town and opened classes of ἡ κοινὴ διάλεκτος (Koine Greek). I joined, I fell in love with and I became his student. I abandoned Dimotiki classes.
We were around 30 students in that class, many were Pastors, Priests, theologians and seminarists, and a friend of mine and I were the only journalists in the class. LOL
My friend abandoned the Greek class months later, I continued and I took my tests.
My teacher was Paulo Anglada who also taught at Princeton University in the 80s-90s. He died in 2019.
May his soul rest in peace. I learned a lot with him.

Dude thanks, as a german- greek that grew up with the language i gotta say your speaking sounds genuine, There are certain other influencers who butcher the language and still think they know better. its sad, but you give me joy. Thats why i wanted to thank you from my heart.

Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius while on campaign between 170-180 AD, wrote his notable book "Τα εις εαυτόν" (Marcus's writings to himself) in the formidable Greek language, as a source for his own guidance and self-improvement.

Συγχαρητήρια για την γνώση της Αρχαίας Ελληνικής! Αγνόησε τα σχόλια των ημιμαθών που κάνουν υποδείξεις για την προφορά (είναι ημιμαθείς, νομίζουν ότι η προφορά δεν άλλαξε με την πάροδο των ετών) όπως επίσης και όσων αμφισβητούν την Ινδο-Ευρωπαϊκή θεωρία. Το διαδίκτυο έκανε εύκολο να διαδίδεται η γνώση αλλά και η ημιμάθεια.

Your speaking skills are extraordinary! As a native greek speaker I can't discern some influence of other language than greek in its reconstructed form. Your expressions and the transitions are very physical. They have a natural flow. You were my inspiration following the course of Oerberg and now I'm thrilled about starting ancient greek again. It's overwhelming even to us because we have to re-learn the significance of some words that we already use.
