❣️❣️❣️It was probably a gator on the track. Water is everywhere so you never know when you might encounter one.
Brandon is right…it is like riding a wooden roller coaster. You feel all the bumps in the tracks and hear all the noises. ❣️❣️❣️

You two found the “cheat code” by taking Amtrak to your cruises 😂 We usually only cruise twice a year, but we started taking Amtrak from Charleston to Orlando at the beginning of this year and it’s been a game changer! Saved so much by not flying that we ended up cruising four times this year! Plus, the seats are spacious with plenty of leg room. We always swing by Publix before and after for snacks and goodies too.

!!! I really enjoyed both this video and the first one to Florida- I'm riding the train for the first time in about a month so I've been looking for videos about the train I'll be on and it's nice to see such an open and honest take from people that doesn't try to just make it seem glamourous. And one that shows coach since most videos I've seen so far only show the sleeper cars

The most instructions we have ever seen for amtrak. We travel amtrak alot. I love the suggestion - sweet , salty and filling. I alwats pack to many snacks.

Great video y'all! Travel in overnight Amtrak coach is very affordable and doable using the standard hacks. I like taking an inflatable neck pillow and foot rest to put my feet up with and enjoy the wine I sneak onboard!

Great information video! I wish Orlando Amtrak station would install more charging stations inside. With such limitied services it would help so much for travelers! Wishing you continued safe journeys!

Hi, Parkers! I rode the Floridian a few weeks ago, Cary to Winter Haven & back, but I chose a Roomette instead of Coach. It was worth the extra $ to get a sleeping bed, private sink, toilet, (shared) shower, AND 3 meals (including the steak dinner). Service was great, the car attendants were very nice.
Regarding why the train stopped, more likely it's a scheduling issue because of shared tracks with freight trains. Sometimes if they are behind schedule, the train waits at a siding until the track is clear. Also, it could be mechanical problems (as I found out at 1 am, north of Savannah which cost a 2 hour delay). Still, a fun way to travel.

That food does look delicious. Still loving you guys travel videos. Cruises and trains. We just took the local Piedmont route to the NC BBQ festival on Lexington. If you didn't know they also do stop at tue State Fair. The trainw a completely sold out foe the BBQ festival. If you never been take a trip the next year around October on Amtrak. You'll love it. We did! And centrain cars have even more leg room than the Floridian.

We take Amtrak from the Orlando area twice a year and we leave from Winter Park, Florida. It's a few miles north of Orlando, not sure how many miles from the Orlando station to the Winter Park station but it's so worth it leaving from Winter Park. Much nicer, smaller station and less people and the Amtrak people at the station are awesome!! Just an idea for the future.

Enjoyed your video! New subbie. You two work well together! My family took this same route last year (but to Philly from Orlando). Unfortunately we had two prolonged stops due to individuals on the tracks 😢. If your stop was brief that wasn't the case. Thanks for your video. Waiting for more! 😊

My friends and i just did Cary to Miami & back for a cruise in September, 22 hours in coach. Raleigh's station is WAY nicer than Cary's, though. I'm gonna need to find a trip to take that'll let me leave from there that doesn't also go to Cary (I officially live in Raleigh, but the Cary station is closer to my apartment and winds up being cheaper for me usually).
