“The Black Ball” premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Best Director award for its two directors, Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo. However, the journey of this ambitious production has only just begun. Its commercial release in its native Spain is scheduled for September, and in the United States it will first arrive in theaters in November, becoming available on Netflix a few weeks later. Juan Carlos Arciniegas talks with one of the film's stars, the young actor Milo Quifes, whom he highlights as one of the revelations of this potential awards contender in 2027.
