Tape a drinking straw on top of the rib and mount the gun with your eyes closed.  Open them and if you can see down the straw, your gun fits reasonably well.  A lot cheaper method!

Put this on a gun you had professionally fitted and tell us how it lines up.

Seems like a decent product, but the $160 price tag is ridiculous.

Isn't this exactly what a mid bead is for?

I'm a High school Trap coach, this will save a huge amount of set up time at the beginning of the season when the new shooters with new guns show up.

THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!!!

I went ahead and bought one of these because I have a shotgun, I just haven't been able to fit to myself. I've tried straws, long straws, short straws, big straws, small straws but nothing seemed to work. Bought an adjustable butt pad which seemed to help some. When I put this on and mounted the shotgun it was instantly obvious, I was shooting high and right, could only see one light. I put the factory pad back on and checked again same thing. Using a Beartooth stock adjustment pad I was able to get my head in the proper position. Now every time I mount the gun I'm looking right down the barrel. In my case it was well worth the investment. I have several grandkids starting out and I will be able to use this to get them started off well.

So the title of this video really grabbed my attention. If you do another video on it would you please demonstrate how it works on various shotguns (sxs s 😊), bead styles, rib styles etc.

Wouldn’t work on my new 940 pro because the rib is so ridiculously crooked. But , Mossberg tech says it’s within tolerance and even went so far to tell me that since I put an aftermarket red dot sight on it, I should be able to compensate for the crooked rib.  $1000 gun?  Nope.

VASI and RCLS for a shotgun.  Nice.

For what it is and how it works, may be good for a quick reference at a store to check basic fit.
Would I buy one = No.
Take a simple straight 1/4" red, black, or green drinking straw about 12" long and tape it dead center onto the barrel mid-rib.
Mount the gun properly, look down the barrel rib through the straw at the front bead. It will tell you the same thing for free.

I like the tool. A bit expensive but nice. I think the problem with a professional fitting is the fitter wants to change the shooter's stance or mount or a dozen other things. The point of shims or an adjustable comb or stock is to fit the shooter better without them having to change their normal way of shooting.

Unfortunately, in the state of Connecticut, I know no gun fitters, and the ones that say they are they just rip you off, so a tool like that could be worth it for me.

I love your videos. There just comes a point in a grown mans life he needs to stop wearing a backwards baseball cap.

I see you have a custom falcon strike recoil pad on your Rizzini.  They work well.

Wouldn't you still go to a pattern board to verify your impact point and o/u split?  No argument what you see on the pattern board!

If it was about half that price I'd be interested. I adjusted my O/U by using the pattern board and adjusting my comb until I got the pattern centered and about a 60/40 pattern. Took about 30 minutes and 12 shells. 4 - 3 shot patterns. But I have real world results.

Using  this gizmo, you are still going to have to shoot a few patterns, so it's not saving you much time or ammo.

That Rizzii has the IPS rib it has 3 adj points 50/50  60/40 & 70/30  You have the rib set at the 50/50 POI.What happens when you adj the rib ?

9:57 I have one that i bought at sparta maybe 10 years ago.  He quit making them soon after.  This must be a new version of the one i have. They work great. I'm a youth trap coach and have set up many guns with it.

Good point on mastering a consistent mount first.  But I think it is very hard to get a consistent gun mount on a gun that doesn't fit.  Seems like chicken and egg. I think this would actually help a lot to try different adjustments until that gun mount gets easier to repeat. Then revisit it and fine tune after some practice.
That said, I have had good luck starting with mid bead and end bead alignment and changing elevation of comb until my breaks are clean.
