I've been sketching from 15 Minute Art Pen & Ink by Anna Tromop for a few months, and with October coming, I wanted to share an honest review. This book turned out to be exactly the analog alternative I needed to the usual one-prompt-a-day sketch challenges.

If you've been wondering:
Is this book good for beginners? Yes, no prior sketching training needed. But the topics are various enough to satisfy more experienced sketchers as well.
Is it only animals or only nature? No, it mixes flora, fauna, objects, and small landscapes.
Does it work for watercolour too? Yes, I use my sketches from it as bases for watercolour and postcards.
Does it lay flat for sketching on the couch? No, this is one of my two honest criticisms, see the video.
How many prompts are in the book? 50 & few inspirational pieces by the author.

Since finishing the book I am drawing or painting just about every day so it inspired me to get back into art. It is a wonderful book and one day I will be having a go at the bigger pictures in the book. To keep it open I just put a clip on the left hand set of pages and had no problems with it.
I would certainly recommend this to anyone with an interest in starting pen and ink drawing. Your idea of using it for an analogue inktober is very clever. Thanks for your review🙏
