Dominate the simple... A good reminder that players need to be good at the things that happen the most.
Great reference for coaches needing a reminder that the simple things win and need to be prioritized.

Man this was so good. Thank you coach for putting us on with the clinics I’m learning so much 🙏🏾

Love this type of video especially with your input. Hope to see more 🙏🏻

Thanks coach! You're giving me the confidence to look into coaching knowing I have resources to use.

Thanks Coach. This was a good watch. I Coach 14u girls. I feel like my practices have become more efficient over the years, so I really liked how Coach Garlepp kept things moving. A lot of good info! Took some notes and I'm planning to use some of the things I learned when my season starts back up.

24:27 <<-- watch how fast she lifted your coach spirits 😂 sick video to finish during lunch break later

Banger video. It’s crazy seeing how easily a bunch of 15 year old girls can pick up on drills and actions and perform them at an elite level.  I’m a grown ass man and it blew my mind 😂

Great vid and breakdown as always

Dope Video bruh

Watched this two days ago, definitely fire

I practiced from age 10 until I was 14, maybe should have waited it out, but all we did was 3 man weave which then went to 3:1 fast break, then 1 on 1 full court and free throws every damn practice, with some conditioning sprinkled in there(suicides), and so much standing around to wait your turn especially the 1 on 1.

Went to track n field instead, ran hurdles and did high jump, and intensity was 4 times of those basketball practices, I actually felt progress and how I was getting faster, jumping higher and becoming more explosive.
I'm still a huge fan of basketball to this day though, and wish I had such practices when growing up.

Latvia needs hard work on the basketball coaching. All our u16 guys that just won the European championship are either playing in USA or elsewhere in Europe, the MVP is half french lol, and the boys just come together to prep for the tournaments, run some plays and that's it. Development happens outside the country which makes it hard to get those guys to come back and play for the national team. Little to no motivation aside from national pride. KP has only played twice, people will say because he's injured all the time, but I don't think that's hundred percent honest every time. We will miss out on him for the WC qualifiers as well, the warriors didn't let him play.

Learned this from poker. A well executed thoughtful strategy(practiced) out performs multiple diff strategies. every time.  I Use that into my coaching.

The footwork debate  to me looks like the footwork off a blast cut or attacking a closeout , either way the advantage is created already. You also get a good look at who should and should not be in those particular actions. Also, to you point about the nit-picking, this is also a coaches clinic, not a practice or a training session. Even more impressive is that she is an elite teacher of the game. Everything she did in this clinic fits into their principles of play. Zero second decisions being instilled. The post iso, I think conceptually, is the idea that it is 1v1 until its not. Probably something they also look for in their offense with her praise of the player after her attempt. This was a great clinic. I wish she wouldn't have had to explain and i could have seen 15 more minutes!

Props. I use these Aus and NZ to learn how to coach and teach my basketball. US is behind .

I loved the training session ESPECIALLY the emphasis on passing. I think passing the ball is a lost art and players/teams in the US need to practice it more. Great job by Coach.

One thing I wish they did more on the practice drills of the pick and roll was passing to the roller and roller makes a decision whether to score or pass. When they played live at the end, the guards instinctively kept on passing to the roller.

When I watched the last FIBA world cup, I absolutely loved how the Australian and Serbian teams played.  Do you know if Serbia puts out similar material to this?

great point 27:42 from what you’re saying I understand it to be — skills coaches are seeing what works in the game and are selling it to players as a standard move. when the carry in game is a one off from the actual training the real players are developing in practice. Basically skip the reps and go straight to the on off that isn’t called and just hope it doesn’t get called ever

I'm so scared of negative steps... those are achillies injuries waiting to happen...

really impressive regardless of age- about half way through i realized they arent even shooting from high school 3 point line. Is there just 1 international 3pt line for all ages?
