So many topics that are interesting in their own right, but too minute to be turned into their own videos...What if I knocked them all out at once? Unfortunately, due to some timing issues, this video had to be split into two parts. This is part one. Let's go over some of the odd and mysterious sides of Zenless Zone Zero, and maybe learn a thing or two along the way.

About Aria's projection, if you walk with her on any ground that can leave footprints (Like sand on the beach at Fantasy Resort) both her robot form and projection will leave different footprints, so it's clear that the projection tech is also made physical somewhat

The bangboo at the Failume Heights location, Twentie, is said to be one that USED to work at the video store, but Wise and Belle let go to do it's own thing during a "rough patch" or something to that nature. It's possible the missing bangboo are also off doing whatever, acting independently.

the bottom of the iceberg better be "how big are wengines and where do agents keep them"

@RandomBangboo 2 weeks ago

I could totaly see the siblings deciding to skip numbers on the bangboo just to make people confused about where the other numbered ones are

@Bonnouji1337 3 weeks ago

Dialyn's actual ability creates an ether continuation of her limbs - essentially projecting energy extensions rather than physically scaling up or growing her actual body parts

@Gragifier 3 weeks ago

Orchidea essentially being a equivalent to a fixer from Cyberpunk is something I desperately want to come back.

I'm holding onto the hope that we'll wrap around to fleshing out Nangong's background someday. When Ellen got her potential buff we had a short little story that shed more light onto her work life balance and relationship with her friends. Not to say that Nangong will be needing a potential buff, just that ZZZ has released new story events to flesh out older characters in the past. It's clear to me that the AoD hold a special spot in ZZZ, and with their teases of a new song soon and the current AoD events, I don't see why they couldn't elaborate on Nangong's story in the future too.

...I'm only 7 minutes in but I'm loving the production and effort into this iceberg. Great stuff!

I feel like this patch (3.2) would've been appropriate to make a new agent story for Nangong since she's re-running, especially since zzz hasn't gotten one in quite a while. Nangong Agent story is still on the top of my wishlist.

dialyn lowkey dashes through the ring as you say "what if she puts her whole body through" 😭

@ItDoBeSpooky 3 weeks ago

You're wrong, Remielle isn't an angel thiren. She's a winged thiren. Nangong is the only thiren we've seen with a real halo as well as wings. We have seen other NPCs with halos, like the two HIA ladies.

Hard light is a real thing in ZZZ because of ether projection. Nearly every problem of holograms or stuff generated out of thin air can be easily explained with "this is ether projection technology". The fun stuff about this is, that because this technology exist, everything we see is basically sience based and not some mythological magic.

The idea of that Sixth Street Managers are either former/currently/supplier of Hollow Raiders and Proxies

Kinda explain why they were hostile and not friendly with Zhu Yuan and Qingyi during their introduction

I'm so glad you mentioned Nangong. Her background was never really explained and with the addition of Phoenix (who may be an angel thiren but her wings seem prosthetic), it makes Nangong even more mysterious. And especially when you mentioned about her absurd luck since Phoenix seems to be the opposite, having Murphy's Law which in simple terms, really bad luck. We also know Phoenix got experimented on and with Nangong having those scars in her back, she may have too.

If you asking about dialyn's rings, aria's projection and sunna's bubblegum, I think they use ether energy to fuse with holograms so they can become solid. I mean they world building is not the same ours, they have ether energy

@randompoorlydrawndragon3076 13 days ago

I really hope nangong gets her own spotlight soon, and I have a feeling it is pretty soon. Her wings are one thing but it's the fact that she has a halo as well that makes her so mysterious

On Dialyn's ring, I had always assumed it works on the same level as Lucia's Ethereal summons or Bubblegum, except this one is more technologically assisted. They are manipulation of Ether, projected to recreate said objects in real time but larger. You can see this by the way these enlarged limbs sometimes have the same glowing half-tone effect when they disappear. They aren't mirroring it like a portal, more like making a physical hologram of Ether.

I imagine if you hold something like a burger through it, you can't actually take a bite and feel full. You're just biting into Ether imitating the look and feel of a burger, and the original stays unaffected which is why Dialyn is likely so casually putting her limbs through despite the danger enlarging her limbs might cause. You wouldn't cut her finger, just disrupt the stability of the illusion.

@silver8382 2 weeks ago

For Dialyn, I'm sure another comment probably mentioned this, but it is definitely not object enlargement. You can see that her hands after being enlarged don't have any skin so I would assume they are using a similar hardlight projection tech that Aria uses for her holograms. Also, with Bubblegum, the line "Aria helped make her real" I think implies that it's the same hardlight projection tech.

Oh about the Hoshimi family, the lack of tails bit is probably because of the swod Tailless. Since sword-master was the first to completely wield its power, she got those. We can guess doing the ritual grants you the tails the one Miyabi´s father told us "only the head of the family can do it and its extremely dangerous" During Miyabi animated short, she actually got nine-tails foor a moment.
Also there is no magic in zzz for now just to clarify.
