My craftsman hydro works fine after 20 years of use, but after watching this I still want to rebuild it. Great video!

very helpful, thank you for sharing this.  Took the mystery out of my current repair job

Thanks. Most hydros are exactly like this one just layed out a little different. I wish you the best with your snapper.

Good job I hope it works out well you did it like a pro.

You're a natural teacher - thanks for the great videos

I had to diagnose a weak drive in a skid steer.  Same setup as in a mower.  Finding nothing really wrong, the factory sent out a technician.  He also found nothing.  Since this was a brand new unit, they sent a replacement, and it worked fine.  The original was sent back to the factory.  A few weeks later, I was informed, someone installed a set of pump Pistons in the motor side.  The only difference was the bleed holes on the slippers are different by .010 of an inch.

Sounds Great. I hope to see a video on it. Always great to see videos from you. Talk to you soon.

thank you so much for taking the time to make and upload  this video. I am trying to fix my own  hydro gear at the moment.

i think my problem is a worn collar ,
people sent me a dealer service memo about the collar problem.
and the symptoms are identical to what im experiencing ,
part was only ten bucks .  hopefully it will fix the problem .

The brakes are adjustable. There is a small disc on the side of your transmission. There is a nut in the middle of the brake caliper on the small disc. Turn this in cw 1 turn and try it.
