the no bs guide is inspiring me to go from 1617 to 1400 so helpful

I wouldn't be surprised if the script was generated by AI, since it was so bad and read by AI too.

24:09 " you win by making the opponent lose" thanks man I didnt think of that

Bro won one game and he's now telling us to stop doing puzzles 😂

“5 seconds in and declared war on everyone” that’s always a good sign

10:15
It wasnt hanging anyway because of the bishop

i was about to follow the guide by rise above reality but my laziness saved me

You managed to not only call out a video that gives bad advice, you also manage to fit in actual good advice into it. I genuinly learned a lot of stuff from your videos already!

3:49 i'm glad bro was specific with the King's Pawn Game 😭😭😭

I mean, none of that advice is inherently wrong, it's just generic ai generated nothing burger

21:35 ah yes the classic leaver attack

I think the automation scrapped off a Gotham Chess video and remixed it, following those “rules” will help beginners no doubt, but i liked how you found elegant edge cases. That was nice.

This looks really similar to Pegasus chess who claimed to have invented the colle zuckertort system and named it "The Pegasus System", resold books that he stole and claimed to have written and in his videos he just played against bots and flexed his rating. Then people found out he was banned on like 10 different accounts for cheating. Then he made like 20 different accounts on YT because his entire comment section was people warning others

7:06 in the first point in their video and they're saying "fits your style" I don't know chess, but I hear similar things in some guides... they don't have a style that's why they're trying to improve

22:06 "i think your llm broke there buddy" is diabolical

I love how the first opening he has in his "repertoire" is Alekhine's Defense, probably THE "move your piece more than once in the opening" defense. It's baffling, really

Also learning an opening that "fits your style" is horrible advice for improvement. I was much stronger using 1.d4 openings, but after switching to 1.e4 I learned a lot more about chess and am now a more well rounded player. Now I can play most openings of any style with ease, though currently I'm practicing with hyper modern openings since I've never used them before.

Eating my opponent’s pieces usually works for me

17:11 Yeah, understanding the oponent ideas when you're about to get checkmated and can do nothing only helps you resign faster lol.

8:29 I lost you there for a second
