I had to go to Berlin for an appointment. So I took the opportunity to do a bit of trainspotting (if that's a word).
In Berlin itself, there were naturally only passenger trains to be seen – but a whole series of freight trains along the way. Since I had plenty of time to change trains in Fulda, I was able to film a number of freight trains, some of which were stopping at the station for a crew change.
From Fulda, I took a diverted train past Bebra to Leipzig, where the train turned around to continue its journey to Berlin.
In both Fulda and Leipzig, I could see a parked class 120 – and in Berlin, at Warschauer Straße station, near the Talgo workshop, a parked ICE L.

Diesen habe ich aber erwischt und aufgenommen.
Das war der ICE T "Gotha" .
Eigentlich dachte ich, dass die 5 teiligen ICE T außer Dienst gestellt wurden.
Aber da galt: Totgesagte leben immer länger.
In Rudolstadt stieg niemand ein oder aus.
Aber es waren dort mehr Fahrgäste als in einem Bombardier IC2.
Immerhin ist meine Aufnahme ein netter Short geworden.
Normalerweise fahren die Geister ICs des IC61 mit Bombardier IC2 Garnituren.
Statt des IC2 gab es einen ICE T als Ersatzzug.
Es kam auch schon in der Vergangenheit vor, dass statt IC2 die ICE T Züge als Ersatz fuhren
Dort war die 101 001 mit TEE zu sehen. Video gibt es bei mir am 5 September.
Vom Hbf tief Richtung Norden verzweigt sich die Strecke:
Streckengleise R (links) und U (rechts) führen Richtung Moabit/Spandau/Halensee, und Streckengleise S (links) und T (rechts) über den Überflieger Richtung Gesundbrunnen/Karower Kreuz/Greifswalder Straße
