bro you helped me i changed suspension to my smart 451 and was squeaking a lot to bumps everything and i thot it was the springs because i didnt change because there are in good shape thanks

I had no squeeks on my suspension. But I replaced everything for new front and rear. Shocks, springs, bumpstops, bushes, top mounts, antiroll bar bushes, control arms with bushes and arm spacer bars. Also new brakes discs, pads, and new shiney calipers. I now have squeeks all the time over every bump. sounds like something is moving I think I will have to take another look to see if its all tight. Doing the control arms was tricky to get undone and redone tight. It passed MOT and nothing has fallen off yet. My main mistake was not tightening the brake calipers on properly, was getting awful clunk on braking. Also massive grinding noise, this was not that much of puzzle as the brake disc shield panels were very rusted and distorted, I had to smash and rip them off, I dont have them now as I drilled off screw heads and the screws still in the hubs. Hubs still the things I wanted to replace with their bearings but looked like something that cant be done at home DIY, Oh and the other non replacement was rear beam/axle bushes, that looked out of my league without a guide, cant even see where they are.

Just watched the video further, I didnt use any grease on the new bar bushes. wonder if its that.

Stephen Hi! Changed my Roll Bar bushes yesterday. Thank you for making it an easy task. The strangest thing was that the Roll Bar had been cover in Duct Tape in position of bush, at least 3 turns. It was a bugger to get off and it seemed strange that the bush had not been replaced as that would have been easier? Things much better now!

I’ve replaced mines over a year ago but with the hot weather, they are not squeaking or creaking, they are screaming over speed bumps or when accelerating hard and the front end lifts ! So yes, the grease I think is needed.

The metal clamps on these are made of cheese! I’ve replaced them twice after I had one set snap! I change them every 40-50k as a matter of course now 👍

Good morning Steven, since I replaced the bushings my smart squeaks a lot, when I accelerate, when I brake and when I take a ditch. What do you say, ke replace again?

What's a great video I've been sending you messages all through the week first exhaust which I paid someone to do there was no way I was doing that😂 but this one was the biggest annoyance was the squeaking I could not find anywhere where it was coming from and it would go it would come and then I feel right let me change the most cheapest part and peace and quiet no more squeaking 😂🙏🏻 on another note have you done that they say you're meant to do the cam 60,000 mile service?? My one is making no ticket noise but I don't really want to be ripping the engine out to do any work on it or pay I won't be doing it myself?

Since when has the red rubber grease smelt?
It works well on bushings, cannot be denied, seems to last infinately longer than silicone grease.
But it is a horrible sticky product. Which is probably why it works so well, its not so easily displaced.
