Wlhat a rat`s nest of wires, cheap plastics, and rubber lines!!!  All designed to age prematurely and fail after warranty.  The engineers should be ashamed for all this complexity, planned obsolescence,  and expense for long term owners.

There is a law suit with the BMW model on this problem, too common for the premature breaks of plastic oil filter housing. Just search.

Had to deal with this over the weekend, we ended up keeping the manifold on and just taking the DME out. So far everything seems solid. Had to do it on a 2019 530e though so disconnecting all 3 batteries was fun

This is plastic nightmare....

I have a BMW motorcycle.   They put quick connect couplings on the on two fuel line.  The couplings are plastic.   Black plastic.

At 80k miles, fuel at  32psi spraying directly on a very hot engine.

The first and last BMW I will ever own.
