The investigating film by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, “Bucha: The Vertical of Terror,” focuses on Russian paratrooper and sniper Artem Dementyev, whom Ukrainian law enforcement officers suspect of killing at least five Bucha civilians, as well as of numerous acts of torture.

Based on new unique evidence, the film provides a detailed reconstruction of the series of murders of Bucha civilians in which the Pskov paratrooper is suspected.

Testimonies from survivors, previously unknown details of the investigation, new evidence, and unique documents help reconstruct not only the actions of a single soldier but also the mechanism of the Russian machine of violence and terror. From the specific perpetrator to the command structure.

The film was directed by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty Journalist Dmytro Dzhulay
