So happy you both collaborated! 🥲🥲

Fastest Ive ever clicked on a video

holy colab from the top most trustworthy teachers in youtube

Two of my favorite piano creators ❤

This is a match made in heaven, you guys have got to do more collaborations <3

As a piano technician, I'd like to point out that trills as fast as Greg is playing them would be harder on an upright piano because the key has to come completely up in order to reset the mechanism before it will engage the hammer again.   And on a grand piano, fast, smooth trills assume an action that has been regulated so that the relationships between let-off, drop, jack position, and repetition lever spring strength are optimized to allow that kind of speed and evenness.

I once had two teachers who were husband and wife (the Meeks Duo) and they sometimes would come to disagreements when teaching me. Particularly the use of the thumb on black keys in scalar passages! This collab kind of reminded me of that 😂 it’s difficult for every teacher to agree on something

This is why learning online can be so helpful yet so confusing to know who's advice to take it was nice to see what you guys had to say

the arm weight correction is the one i wish someone had shown me twenty years ago. i spent years trying to get speed and volume from the fingers alone and the tension was the whole problem - once the weight comes from the arm the fingers just aim. good to see two teachers actually check the viral tips instead of just reacting to them.

You guys are my favourite piano content creators, i appreciate this video so much.
The tip about not recommending the 'eraser on wrist tip' to students with really locked and hard wrists really struck me, it was so revealing. Cuz at first i was like "wow what a good tip, i gotta try that", but then you kept talking and i realised I'm actually of the bunch that have the opposite problem, i need flexibility exercises (which makes me realise why one of my dear teachers would instruct me to really exaggerate the arm-wrist aligned movements).
I don't know if you take requests, but if you made a video with tips for students with issues like this, It'd be a great help and greatly appreciated

Two good, experienced teachers exchanging ideas. I loved the whole exchange.

Her tips on his reaction videos were so good my man had to do a collab

More long-form content from our piano bestie please!

the top 2 piano people on YouTube. I have learned a ton from both of you. this is a great collab, thank you!

Wow, it's great to see two great piano teachers collaborating!  You make an excellent duo.  I hope to see more of you together in future videos. 😊

my two favourite piano content creators! great to see you both collab 💗💗 i've always appreciated the way you both teach in a manner that's fun, easy to understand and both beneficial and easy to apply to my own playing (especially as a self-taught pianist who has no clue what they're doing 😭)
thank you both for your almighty wisdom

The last video about practicing fast runs is also from a Juilliard trained pianist.

12:26 It's Nahre Sol, so it's technically brilliant...... 😄

I have to admit, that playing for my first 56 weeks I am not able to use most of these insights, but I like seeing what awaits me...years from now. I may never play a classical concert, but my goal is to be able to play a variety of music, AND to play it WELL.

Yourpianobestie is truly a goated young educator. I'm glad to see you agreeing with her 😊
