The Floor of the Cecil Hotel They Don't Show You
Most people know the Cecil Hotel's name for one reason — a story that's already been turned into documentaries and true-crime videos more times than anyone can count. This isn't that story.
In this video, we look at what's actually happening inside the Cecil Hotel right now: a building that was reopened in 2021 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony as affordable supportive housing, and years later, still hasn't delivered on that promise. Floors of finished housing, sitting empty, in a city facing one of the worst homelessness crises in the country.
Forgotten Los Angeles uncovers the hidden history buried beneath the city everyone thinks they already know — the buildings, tunnels, neighborhoods, and landmarks that time (and development) paved over.
