I went to the frontlines of Donetsk Ukraine to learn from a Ukrainian heavy bomber vampire drone team. This is nicknamed Baba Yaga by the Russian forces. This part of the front is difficult. Ukrainian troops are holding the assaults back using this new weapon system. We were hit with glidebombs , artillery, rockets and mortars all night.

Task & Purpose is a military news and culture oriented channel. We want to foster discussion about the defense industry.

It's rare seeing a reporter with this much personal courage. We all know Chris is a vet but the fact that he doesn't have to do any of this says even more..

This is the sort of journalism that should be held as the gold standard.

"No that's Carl, he's a F***king idiot" Hahaha 😆
Your rock Chris.

"If it doesn't F us up its ours" lol that is crazy to hear out loud.

'those drones ours?'
'if they dont shoot at us, they are ours' has to be the hardest baddest line ever uttered.

The American dude was closer to my house than I've been since Easter '13. Oh boy.
Thanks for this video, I'm glad your channel is growing.

Dude, you seemed scared AF. Not throwing shade. Thank you for being brave and showing what to really like there. It highlights how brave the Ukraine’s are. Nice work.

Damn! When Cappy said "I go frontline" someone in the Ukrainian military wanted him to feel the artillery landing around him!!! He's ex-military, he can handle a few bombs. Your position is now overrun I heard as well so everybody left that fine basement not too much after you did. Really appreciate you letting a lot of the Ukrainian guys talk. Hits different.

Chris is putting his life on the line here, make no mistake. This is real journalism.

This is one of the best videos you've ever created. It's not just a video; it's the sort of on-the-ground investigative journalism that we need more of. Beyond any ad revenue that you might earn from posting this video, it's a commendable social contribution towards covering something that needs to be covered. Thank you for doing this.

This should win a Pulitzer prize Cappy.

Thank you Cappy. You’ve shown instead of being an armchair military expert, you are willing to live the real experience of an actual war going on right now

Incredible journalism! Glad you got used to the front line & started cracking jokes so quickly! Gandalf is such a badass :)
Love to see the glimpses of the stabilization points! Hope you will upload that episode publicly one day.

Have a Merry Christmas! Huge thanks to your family as well, they should've been scared as hell for you :)
