i love how the main girl has a family who recognizes that the MIL is crazy and never once sided with the crazy lady

The family legacy stuff had always been the oddest thing. Like...raise happy kids? There is something inherently creepy about it.

This behavior is common in my country. My relative divorced her first husband because her MIL was like Eleanor. Thankfully, she got the divorce rebuilt her life and married her second husband and her second MIL loves her granddaughters.

"I specifically prayed for a boy"

The power of prayer strikes again!😂😂😂

Only half way thru but if, *if*, they had another kid and it was a boy it would be so funny to give the kiddo mums maiden name. Hell, son of crazy grandma should change his last name lol

His mom lying about having a health condition is more horrendous than her trying to suggest clinics for him and his wife so get a son to be selected

Every child is precious ❤ I don't know why a grandmother would act this way.

@becomingiris 7 months ago

obession about a family name that isn't even hers. Elanour should be forced to resume her maiden name in her divorce.

But if the girl's married, the husband can take the bride's last name or they can combine both last names

doesnt really matter too much what elanor says all the important people know the truth and will spread the word on when asked

I will never be okay with “gender disappointment” because I know exactly how it feels to be excluded from family because you were born the way you are

"I specifically prayed for a boy!"

1. Lady, prayer doesn't do crap

2. When will you ever learn that it's the male that determines the sex of the baby, not the woman...you need to go back to sex ed 😂

@aworldofpoetry9394 3 months ago

Throughout the entire story I just kept thinking that Jack and the entire family should change from his last name to OPs. That would show Eleanor that sons aren't a guarantee for the family name and legacy.

Finally a normal extended family🙏😭

@stevenpeven258 10 months ago

Australias favourite four letter word perfectly describes Eleanor.

@terrycogxx762 10 months ago

Sounds like elonor needs to be involuntarily committed to a mental health facility.

It makes me smile, not because it's a good thing, but because I'm an only girl and I have two male cousins, and we love each other. If grandma were to go "You get nothing, only your male cousins get something" my own cousins would be like "Keep your sh*t old hag, we don't want anything from you"

@Lunamay03 3 months ago

“I don’t have real grandchildren” “Stop keeping my grandchildren away from me!!!”

@KatieKatt18 10 months ago

1. This lady is delusional
2. I feel it might send a stronger message if the male grandchildren told Eleanor to either keep her inheritance or that they didn’t want it unless their cousins were included again. That or they’d be happy to accept it so they can share it with their cousins.
3. 40:44 Damn
