"It didn't last long, with a total of 35 episodes across two seasons" -Five seasons for a modern show.

They call themselves "The Power Team", yet not once did anyone one of them rip a phone book in half.

Always thought it was messed up that Kuros was more Simon Belmont than Simon Belmont in Captain N.

In a old Strong Bad Email, there was a parody of Captain N with lame inaccurate versions of Game characters in a team together. Its crazy how this show is more silly than that parody

RIP Captain Lou Albano.

"Kuros, you owe me a new jersey!"--Tyrone

"But isn't New Jersey already owned by the people who live there?"--Kuros

Just a quick correction: Leaded gasoline was more  1920s~1970s. In fact, I remember as a kid, this was about 1988, asking my dad what unleaded meant. (I learned to read at 4. Clearly, any residual lead had no effect on me.)

I knew I recognized Fabio there from the Iron Sword cover. :D

There was a point where The Power Team showed up without the live parts for a while on the USA network.  I mostly remember it being there was wondering as I saw it for the first time, "Why would anyone want to just watch this part of the show?"

For some odd reason, I thought Johnny Arcade grew up to be Johnny Knoxville.

Well, Cyndi Lauper had Mario in her video for "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," so that one checks out, though I do remember an episode where Captain Lou Albano went missing. Wonder if they ever found him. Also, Bowser was originally the Boss Creeper, since the turtle enemies in the original Mario Bros. game were called Shellcreepers, as opposed to Koopas, which came from the Japanese name for a Korean dish called Gukbap, which is made of rice and boiling soup. The biggest thing to remember about The Legend of Zelda is that this animation is why Link doesn't speak.

It's pretty funny that the biggest character in Video Power was Bigfoot.

That Cindi Lauper episode was timeless. Its one of those unforgettable TV iconic shows.

Someone did Beavis and Butt Head of Legend Of Zelda the cartoon version.😂😂😂

Damn this makes Captain N look like the Godfather.

Most underrated channel on the site.

This video enlightened me – I was very familiar with Power Team, especially Kwirk (I liked him so much I bought the Game Boy game) but my brain merged them all with the Captain N show.

The stupidest thing about Video Power at least from what I remember is that it was on very early in the morning, didn't really even have time to watch it.  I would catch glimpses.  Back then games weren't a big media thing so to just see someone playing the NES on TV was amazing.  That's why we settled for low-tier garbage movies that included NES advertising and otherwise mediocre cartoons.  We wanted more of the characters we loved.

"Which is a supercut of Johnny fucking up and dying."  With that description I almost died laughing when the clip played 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Honestly, I craved every episode that had an episode of animated Zelda instead of animated SMB.  I loved that little taste of Hyrule.

There was also Bigfoot and The Monster Machines back in the '80s, but the 'Foot was non-sentient and had its own driver.
