Watching this BEFORE you get burnt out is so much more important than after/already feeling burnt out

1. Dont restart
2. Try new playstyles
3. Dont rush
4. Multiple projects
5. Building for every feature
6. Create lore
7. Build task board
8. Start collection
9.dont abuse villagers ( as I dont understand trades anywhay, better option for me would be building villager farm as a task)
10. instead of restarting, relocate.

i dont get burnt out, I just get lonely from playing by myself lol. I just want someone to play in a minecraft world with me longterm

Most people with a 2 week minecraft phase hasn't built any build projects (not including farms) that is bigger than a 50x50. Once they get maxed netherite gear, they don't know what to do anymore aside from making farms. All my friends are sadly like this.

i love how ppl romanticized the end poem for so long but still haven’t realized that it was telling us that killing the dragon isn’t the point of the game and that there is no one objective to complete or thing to work toward as you could play infinitely and never even know the dragon existed, yet you still stop at nothing to get to it and kill it asap

8:00 Don't put the collection in a museum!

It's the same as with the functional blocks. Don't put them in the same place! You're robbing yourself of incentive to build! Put the Dragon Egg in a Dragon Slayer's Tower, put the Elytra in Icarus's Rest, the Golden Apple in the Garden of the Hesperides.

Good tips. My dad used to play minecraft a lot like this, making villages, connecting everything in his world with railways. Kept the game regularly enjoyable for him for years. He got really sick but minecraft helped him enjoy his time in his last few years. It's a special game that goes as far as your imagination lets it.

i never get burned out. Just friends stop playing and it gets too lonely to play anymore

My friends and I started a realm 3 years ago and are still going strong. We stay motivated because of lore and RP. We all built different countries thousands of blocks away from each other. It’s awesome visiting another country every few weeks by railway to see how much my friends have accomplished.

6:05 lore-my tip is to make a MUSEUM. I remember on an old minecraft server we had historical artifacts, such as dragon heads, wither roses, whatever they're called, and, my personal favorite, a damaged wooden axe. This axe, was used by one of my friends to mercilessly slaughter one of our friends on an expedition to the trial chambers. He was immediately killed for his crime, and I managed to lay my hands on the blood stained wooden axe, and kept it in my inventory, before later implementing it into our town's museum.

It's called Two Week Phase.

I overcame him after creating a world without a specific purpose. without trying to kill the dragon in an absurd speedrun time. Just playing quietly doing what makes me happy and gets me excited. I have been with this world for 3 months and I very happily recommend it to everyone.

Note/EDIT: also diversify my gameplay by playing minigames on servers & playing game modes like one block.

For #10 (@ 10:20) my best advice is to go as far as the nearest end portal so that when your done with your “restart” you can more than easily reconnect your “new” world to the “old”. It allows for a stronger flow throughout the world and almost a sense of having kingdoms

I started the phrase "Because Minecraft" and that unlocked a lot for me in my forever world. Led me to a Savana village partly in the swamp. Defeated the dragon 20 times for the end gateway portal. Made a 4000 block bridge across the ocean, Because Minecraft.

For me i have the opposite problem. I HATE starting a new world, because early game is always the same, and late game is always different.

Anyone else get a deep sense of indescribable sadness when revisiting their old Minecraft worlds?

I started a new game with an elytra with curse of binding, mending, unbreaking, and keep inventory. The idea was that every base had to be as if a dragon lived there, so I could experiment with things like a really cramped cave network with each chamber being a room for my starter base, or a massive pale forest tree where underground in the roots there are the organic farms like bees & crops.

I didn’t realise that it’s been more than a year since I started that save. Because I play Minecraft on and off, and every time I had a new idea for a dragon, I’d simply hop back on the save. So yeah, this video is 100% right, people just need to find what’s fun for them. I love speculative biology, so I really enjoyed thinking about what adaptations did the dragon have and how that would influence a build.

Lore is such a powerful tool for me, Its probably the reason most people started to play minecraft. For example after hearing about the new piglin mob coming to minecraft, I built a lab in the snowy mountains on pocket edition, with a nether portal to trick piglins into coming so I could trap them in test tubes to see how they zombified.

#10 is extremely underrated and I'm surprised more people don't do this honestly. It's so fun "starting a new world" by going out hundreds, thousands, or even MILLIONS of blocks, going through all the usual stuff of surviving your "first" night, building shelter, finding food, getting iron armour etc all over again. Then once you're established, linking your "new world" to your "old world" so you can freely travel between them whenever you want.

I think people really don't grasp just how HUGE a singular Minecraft world truly is. Think of every world you have created, and the space you've taken up with your builds in that world. That same world could almost certainly fit thousands if not MILLIONS of copies of that space you've built up within its limits. That's thousands to millions of brand new spaces to build just as big and sprawling as you biggest most sprawling worlds. But unlike actually starting a new world, you can link up all these "new worlds" together without having to exit to the main menu. You can transport resources between them (if you want, or don't for that truer "new world" feel with each region), you can create shared lore.

This is what I've been doing and it's a truly awesome feeling. Having all the fun of starting a brand new world, while also knowing that all my old "worlds" are just a couple dozen mountains away if I want to go visit or link them up. I don't have to if I want the isolation, but I have the CHOICE, and just having that choice even when I don't choose that option is really awesome.

My tip? Very similar to the task board is write a journal! When you write down your adventures, you remember them longer. I keep my book and quill journals at 64 pages long, and I'm on my 8th one. I've written down builds, discoveries, challenges and frustrations and it is so much fun to look back and read how far I've come in my Minecraft world! Journaling is one of the best things I've done in my world, my journals are worth more to me, than diamonds.
