The US justice system is broken and disgusting. When I married a Colombian as an American woman and he started to  abuse me I filed for divorce and he didn’t have legal status and I hadn’t done that for him yet bc it was early on in our marriage and he called the cops on me twice saying I was abusing him so he could try and get a DV visa !!!!!! The MINUTE he saw I was leaving him  and wouldn’t get him legal papers he decided to try to destroy my life. Long story short after 3 years I divorced him all charges against me dropped and he’s jobless living in Spain because he never got his papers here. But cops took HIS word for everything which was INSANE when I was covered in bruises and despite divorcing him I never once called the cops on him because I felt bad knowing he could be deported! The US justice system and cops are FUC***
