Unlock the real story behind King Solomon's Mines, Great Zimbabwe, and the search for Africa’s lost gold! Was Solomon’s legendary wealth fact or fiction?

Journey through centuries of exploration as we unravel the enduring mystery of King Solomon's Mines. Discover how biblical tales of Solomon’s wisdom, the Queen of Sheba, and the mythical land of Ophir inspired adventurers, historians, and even novelists like H. Rider Haggard. Follow the incredible story of Karl Mauch, the German explorer who, in 1871, believed he had uncovered the true source of Solomon’s riches in southern Africa. His findings led to the gold rush and the discovery of the Great Zimbabwe ruins - but was he right?

This video dives deep into the evidence, from ancient Portuguese accounts to groundbreaking archaeological digs. Learn how Mauch’s theories were challenged and ultimately overturned by 20th-century archaeologists, who proved Great Zimbabwe was a stunning achievement of African civilization, not a biblical relic. We’ll also explore the latest discoveries in Israel and Jordan, examining whether there’s any truth to the legend of Solomon’s mines and what modern archaeology says about the existence of King David and Solomon. If you’re fascinated by lost treasures, African history, or the intersection of myth and science, this story will keep you hooked until the end.

Then someone, please explain to me that why there is not one other single stone structure anywhere in Africa south of the equator? I’ve been in 17 countries in Africa, and nowhere is there any signs of early architectural stone building. I’ve lived and hunted with both the Mashona and Matabele tribes of Zimbabwe. To this day, they have difficulty putting a thatched roof on a hut.😊

Probably the copper. Tin wasn't found so often, in the bronze age, but copper was more common. A commodity always in demand then

The current tribes in Zimbabwe have no walls. The ancient city has walls. The pottery could be from African groups that lived around the city for centuries but had no idea where it was from, like the arabs around Petra.

They were looking for Gold.
They didn't.
But they found a Gold_Like_shining (historically speaking)
treasures from past civilization.

I am puzzled. I have visited the Zimbabwe ruins and I didn't find them to be particularly attractive or interesting. The place seemed to be to be an incoherent jumble of rocks. When I went to the place there was no museum or anything there to explain the ruins. What is apparent is the stark difference between the dwelling places of the indigenous people. In this part of Africa the settlements are extremely primitive. In Zimbabwe there is abundant evidence of another group of indigenous people referred to as Bushmen. They were responsible for the paintings that are found throughout the country. My understanding is that the Bushmen were displaced by other peoples in who migrated from the north who are now collectively called Shona. Clearly there is a mixture because Zimbabwe is a multilingual country. And politics has raised its ugly head. The ruins have become a national symbol replacing the head of a British monarch. So I really don't know what to think except that the subject is a work in progress.

Why not assume the gold and spices came from the same region?
No spices come from Zimbabwe.

One can understand why southern Africans cherish Great Zimbabwe...its only pre European stone structure in all of Southern Africa. Without doubt the locals built it, but under whose direction ? The Arabs who were the great slavers and traders of this part of Africa could have been a candidate. They built slave fortresses on the African coast, but if they did .Their fellow Arabs world have known something of it, which they didnt. Great Zimbabwe is mystery.
