This should go without saying, but this video is in no way meant to hate on the Kirby anime series.

The anime was how I first got into Kirby and was my main source for Kirby for the longest time. My Kirby's Adventures in Dream Land series is mainly an innocent, silly comedy which tends to make satirical jabs at certain subjects in question. Some humor can be rather crude at times, perhaps. But nothing with malice behind it!

If current years are anything to go by, the world of the Kirby video games is here to stay and the anime has long since ended. This video is more or less meant to reminisce on the anime, looking at all the points that made it unique. Both good and....less than stellar.
Again, all of this is coming from someone who really likes the anime series! I suppose even I'm not above pointing out or taking jabs at the miscomings of things I like..

If you were genuinely displeased or felt hateful bias towards the anime in this video, I of all the people in production sincerely apologize.
At the end of the day, this is all made for harmless fun and for the purpose of celebrating our love of the Kirby franchise. No matter which series you're into.💙

Now imagine if the right back at ya characters visited the canon universe

No amount of therapy will help them forget

“Nightmare was beaten long time ago, but there’s other threats, so there’s this guy named Zero-“

Let’s be real

If the anime gang were the ones doing the visiting, I don’t think most of them would be able to mentally recover from learning about all of the things the Game World gang have been able to do lmao

I like the constant call outs to how much different the two Dedede’s are in personality.
Game Dedede started out much like how anime Dedede has always been, but he grew past that, going from a selfish self-imposed tyrant, to a caring self-made king of Dreamland. He’s grown to care, to protect those who live in Dreamland, standing tall time and time again to defend his home, and defeat the threats. From helping Magalor without question, only to stand and fight against him when he shows his true colors, to gently helping up a fallen Waddle Dee and getting it away from a Beast Pack horde, and raising his hammer against said horde to stall for time to let the Waddle Dees and Kirby escape.

I love how in the end Escargon was begging the other Dedede to stay because of the differences between him and the anime version of him. Which I don’t blame him because of the fact he’s constantly abused- the man just wants a stable relationship and king that can love him the way he always dreamed of being loved 💀💀💀

Magolor literally just called him "Gluteus Maximus"
Best ducking line ever.

This genuinely feels like an actual episode of Right Back at Ya!

That Tiff voice actress is spot-on.

The fact that game Nightmare has been reduced to such a non-threat that kirby forgot they fought him is pretty on point. In terms of final bosses he really only stands above dedede from game 1. Pretty sure any interation of dark matter trumps him, heck even crowned magalor was a greater threat.

Tuff single-handedly did more in this animation than the entierty of the anime series.

POV they explain game lore to anime universe
“So Kirby’s actually an incarnation of like the ultimate god-“

I love the way the two Kirbies have slightly different colors, making it pretty clear which is which

what's funny is that magolor says that they should get home before "another cataclysmic force decides to wreck our dream land" which has the exact amount of syllables as there are cataclysmic forces that decided to wreck their dream land, with a few liberties taken

7:25 I love how Meta Knight actively calls out the guitar riff. 😂

Let’s admit it, everyone one has thought about a crossover between game and anime Kirby

Seeing the two different versions of Meta Knight interact is giving me the vibe that Game!MK is one of those shorties who acts out because his body is too small to contain his urge to fight everything haha.
This was great, tho, everything was damn accurate (especially Magolor lol) and the clear affection for the anime did shine through. Happy Belated Birthday, Kirby!

Dude, I like that this is based off of the Anime, It’s a Friggin’ masterpiece!

Game Kirby: Hi other me!
RBAY Kirby: POYO!
Game Kirby: Okay, well “Poyo” to you too! :)

Game DDD: Hey, Don’t bother Mr.Snail-man!
RBAY DDD: Don’t tell my what to do! Nightmare! I needa monster to clobba dat dar Imposta! And maybe Kirbeh too.
Game DDD: (Hits RBAY DDD with his hammer)

Game Meta Knight: Fight Me!
RBAY Meta Knight: It is, Wrestler Kirby! (Then stands there doing nothing… |:( )

Bandanna Dee: There’s no Parallel dimensional version of me… ;-;

Let's be honest if only there was an anime version of Bandana Waddle Dee

I love who Game Meta is always ready to brawl while Anime Meta is just "I'll just be here if anyone needs me". also that dedede reaction is FUNNY AF

This is like a huge love letter to Kirby and Kirby Right Back At Ya, so honored to a part of it as Tuff, I enjoyed every reference, they all match the show super well, honestly made me miss it. I love this video and I hope to work again with you in the future~
