I love that since the beginning of this channel, this dude's natural speaking voice has slowly morphed into the mock Liverpool accent he uses when quoting the Beatles. 😂

I'm not a huge Beatles fan, I admire their incredible talent, I am in awe of the skill and dedication it took to be able to transform and progress from Please Please me to Abbey Road, but until I watched these exceptional videos I hadn't realised just how exceptional these 4 ordinary guys from Liverpool were, you have a skill to present the facts in a manner that is both down to earth and inspiring, and never skip the unpleasant details.  Thank you.

I was having a god-awful week and seeing that this video came out made me smile so big, thank u for your work, you are truly amazing and I love you❤

Best Beatles channel on YouTube

the goat of the beatles videos return

At 2:54 it says, "The Beatles, one of the most influential bands in modern history." It should say, "The Beatles, the most  influential band in history."

Fun fact about Jane Asher at the Old Vic, Patrick Stewart (minor actor at the time) was in a show with Jane Asher and one time when Paul visited, Paul asked Patrick if we wanted to go on a drive (after Jane heard Patrick talk about wanting to drive a specific model of car, which Paul brought) and Paul let Patrick drive Paul and Jane a bit

Man this channel is great. There are some really excellent Beatles channels out there, but this has become my go-to.

I watched all the separate videos, but you tell the story so well I had to watch this version too. Again, you bring 1965 to life.

Almost 2 hours long that's insane bro you're a legend! 👏🏻

I’m feeling more English now that I followed your channel. Have a pleasant day

These are some of the best recaps I've seen. Well done! I saw The Beatles three times. One time, George acknowledged me from the stage. I was thrilled. But I was way too young and naive. I've seen Paul three times, the last time in Vegas in 2026. He does an excellent show and Markey's all young again for three hours. This is still my favorite band, as they are for my three year old grandson, who sings (and tries to play) many Beatles songs.

Before I go into the studio to record or produce a project I always listen to Sgt Pepper. The production still amazes me.

the mistake here is imagining that all of these songs were actually about anything pertaining to their personal lives. Some were. Most were just whatever came off the top of their heads that sounded all right.

26:33 George’s shirt flying away is always classic.

When it's pointed out about things changing for "Rubber Soul", it's not that George Martin became a collaborator; he'd already been that. In August 1965, George Martin essentially became an employee of The Beatles after he left EMI to start his own company (with a couple of other producers). The Beatles' working method was altered based on this change in dynamics. Martin was no longer the schoolmaster leading his lads; he was someone who had to make his clients happy, and help them fulfill their artistic visions. If The Beatles hadn't been so huge, chances are Martin would have never been allowed to ever enter EMI Studios again since he left EMI on contentious terms.

Does anyone else like the syncopated version of "I'm Looking Through You" better than the released version?

Growing up in Hamburg i very well absorbed the relationship and friendship, the Exies and Beatles developed. They were very close freinds with Astrid Kirchherr and Klaus Voormann. just outside of music. I lost track, when i moved to another town for university and he to London. Just recently, i got to discover , that he  (Klaus) had the most winding and surprising career in Rock and Pop history himself. Won two Grammies in two different fields of art, as graphic designer for the Revolver cover, and as musician for "The Concert for Bangla Desh". Although, he had all odds against him. He was heavily dyslexic, which wasn't even considered a diagnosis at that time, and he was left-handed, which later played a roll, as he ( by accident, YES) became world wide saught after bass player. Played once for the biggest names by personal invitation or recommendation only under musicians. He himself never asked for those jobs, he always was asked. All Beatles after breakup on their solo projects, BB KING,  Manfred man, Carly Simon, Art Garfunkel Leon Russel, Harry Nilsson, and, and, and. He even turned down offers for the Hollies and the Moody blues i believe it was. He got into music by a phone call, working in graphic art in London. A former friend had a band in Hamburg, and asked on the phone, if he wanted to play bass in the band. He never had played bass before, ( but classical Piano, only by ear because he could read neither text nor music) He learned playing bass in a few days, Although he was left-handed, on a right handed bass, someone forgot in his London flat. Quit his job and went to Hamburg , standing on the same stage, once his Friends , the Beatles played on, only a few days later. He stayed rather unknown, because he was so humble, and even didnt show up for his two Grammy giving ceremonies.  I could go on for hours, what this man all accomplished. Still alive at 88 and doing graphic art. There are a lot of videos on YT, and his web site "Voormann.com" shows his art, books, graphics ,music, and a jaw dropping list of all his work, beeing done in both fields.. He made his first own CD and DVD after his 70s birthday, visiting a lot of musicians, he had played with, and did it again just for friendship and memories. "A Sidemans Journey". Thats, how one of the most influential and successful and sought after musician sees himself.  Well worth for a full documentary too, although, there are a few short ones and interviews out there. He also played in a few films as musician and actor. There is a BBC documentation about the years lasting search and recovery  of Pauls stolen Höfner bass, and a roll as a waiter Herr von Schnitzel in a Robert Altmann film. He also played the most iconic bass intro in Carly Simons song "Your so vain", Carly Simon was so baffled by it, that she spontaneously said Son of a gun" The producer  was at the scene and said this is the most iconic bass intro in Rock and Pop history, and left the words on the track published. Later, he had a world wide iconic hit as a producer with a band called TRIO ( Da Da Da), that also made it in a world wide advertising for Volkswagen. Did you know, that he even had a roll in the iconic introduction of the at that time sensational Beatles haircut. He got it first from his Girlfriend Astrid Kirchherr, because she wanted is sticking out ears covered, and named it" Klaus haircut". The Beatles copied it slowly one after the other. "YT "Interview Astrid Kirchherr". And later, he made it more public by painting the Revolver LP cover, where the haircuts dominated the graphics of the fab four.
At the end, i will give you an example, why Klaus's playing was so extraordinary , press, and good. Listen to BB King in London and the piece "We can't agree" The bass player always has to get in with the drummer, which Klaus does excellent. On top of that, he plays a game with BB King, imitating his fills and licks, or answers to them. And BB king himself, gets on with that games, and throws lick ideas and answering licks to Klaus. And Klaus himself doesn't just begin to play, he swoops in on one tones loudness ascending from zero to full on one quarter tone to suddenly ending exactly on point with the drummer in a staccato kind of way.  Jaw dropping idea of his own entrance in just one tone, never heard this way. Wroooop!!!!!

Jackie DeShannon toured with the Beatles. She sat up in the front of the plane and John would drill her on her songs, one song he was obsessed with..... Every Time You Walk in the Room.
Listen to the hook line and remove the turn around..... Ticket to Ride is based on that song. She talks about it in interviews, he used to scare her he was so intense. She also would play
Monopoly with George.

Lucky enough to be at the afternoon show in Portland
