It's so sad that everyone forgets about Ingolstadt! First of all it's the oldest city in Bayern. Second it was the first university city and it had one of the most successful universities in Europe, especially in medical studies. In fact that is why the story of Frankenstein was written as in Ingolstadt. Then München basically stole the whole university stuff and started LMU, which is one of the 2 huge universities of München and it one of the best preforming universities in Germany. It's also the home city of Audi! In general, Ingolstadt is a beautiful city with a really well preserved old town! But no one talks about it when they talk about Bayern!😢
Bayern des sama mia Bayern und das Bayrischer Bier Bayern und des Reinheitsgebot Des is unsa flüssiges Brot Greetings to Bavaria and California from Lower Austria
It was so cool to see your take on my home region (and the region I live in right now). Good job! Thank you 🥰
I think the beauty of Bavaria lies within its diverse nature, its big cities being surrounded by lakes and people having lots of outdoor locations and activities at their hands (such as the Olympia Park in Munich, Ammersee, Tegernsee, Sylvensteinsee, Eibsee, some being natural lakes, some being man-made, the Mountains [hiking, skiing, cycling, etc.]).
Europe is full of crying statues in churches! A lot of these places have become famous like Lourdes and Medjugorje, where some poor young children were supposed to have seen Maria. It's part of the Catholic belief in miracles, personally I think it's especially a way to give hope for those who believe in it...and it's big business 😊
I DO love all your videos BUT as a german woman from northern gemany I feel I have to explain something: Bavaria is not the quintessence of typical Germany. It was a sovereign kingdom and did not even belong to germany in the past: that is also part of the Name of this county: Freistaat Bayern (free state of Bavaria). For some Bavarians this is important, some feel firstly as Bavarians not as germans and call northerners 'Preußen- Prussians'. The kingdom of Bavaria was swallowed in Bismarck Times by the Prussian Kaiserreich. I missed that in the video. Bavarian dialect and culture is far more close to austrian culture, not to average german culture which would rather be found in the north or middle of Germany. Fact is that german culture in the north is different to east or west or middle Germany and definitely super super different to Bavaria. WE have foederalism and we are united in being very different. When I lived in munich and met American People they were convinced all german culture is Like in the south. Infact there are still some bavarians that would love to seperate from Germany. Like some scots would like to leave UK. Infact I think this is a good comparison, bavarians are very proud on traditions and dialect. I am from Hamburg and our culture, language and food is not as patriotic and strong as in the south, also dialect is not as popular as in Bavaria or Swabia and if spoken it's like a different language. Northern culture and dialect is maybe closer to scandinavian culture. Still I do like this Video. 😅🎉 Just felt I needed to explain this for the Americans.😂 There is no typical Germany existing❤. Thank you for the history explanations. Well done. Bavaria is a very beautiful german Bundesland and I always love to go there when I am fed up with flatness of my beautiful northern home region. Regards from Hamburg.
