My apartment is $170, water and electricity varies but generally $30-$40 a month, food costs per month for two also varies (we do most cooking at home) but around $200-$250 a month.
All told at the end of a month, I have money left over. So if anyone says "You CAN'T LIVE IN CAMBODIA for less than $1000 a month", they're wrong.
Most of it depends on your own personal wants and needs but it's absolutely possible.
