Oh, what could have been...

Any Diablo game that wasn't made by the blizzard north team doesn't count as a real diablo game, it's just ARPG with the diablo IP name.

Oh my god... In every way they all look cooler than what we got. Especially Azmodan. Thank you, Everless, as always.

Azmodan looks so cool in the original concept

I never played d3 but this I would.

The ambient ... feels surreal for me.
This art direction can make maps for days and we would all enjoy it, play it, live it.
Specially love the head figures for hp/mana.

Once upon a time, video games were made by people with passion for the fun of it. The money they make was secondary.

They were definitely aware of biblically accurate angels when designing the concept arts.

One of those big gaming "if only" points. Blizzard fucked up a lot in the mid 2000s.
RIP Swinging Ape.

I can't believe it's been 20 years.

I still can't get over Angelic lands that was scrapped.. Diablo 3 was a disaster.

Feels like Diablo 1 & 2… 💔

@LetiferTV 7 hours ago

they actually used a lot of the BlizzardNorth material for Diablo 3

@rokinz3270 2 hours ago

Dam going into the Angelic lands would have been trippy. Its cool to see some of the designs made it into the later diablo 3

The only true sequel to D2. Hope someday we can get our hands on a playable build of this
Long live Blizzard North, and screw Blizzard with their WoW style

The D3 the fans deserved but never got...

This makes me sad for a game that we never got. Blizzard North was the goat. Activision blizzard can't even hold blizzard North's jock strap.

This version of the game was my roman empire

Azmodan looks pretty scary in the concept art. And the art still takes into account the grit, dark aspect of the old game. Wished they could have finished the game before the disbandment of blizzard north. This aesthetic is more geiger and lovecraftian style. Leans more into the horror of the world. It's not as crisp, clean and colorful as the successors of D2.
