Algebra is much more than solving for x. It is a language humans have spent thousands of years developing to describe patterns, relationships, and hidden structures.
This video follows algebra from Babylonian clay tablets and Greek geometry to Indian mathematics, al-Khwarizmi’s systematic methods, Renaissance equations, symbolic notation, group theory, and Fermat’s Last Theorem. We also explore how algebra now powers cryptography, error correction, physics, computing, and artificial intelligence.
Whether algebra fascinated or frustrated you in school, this relaxing journey reveals the remarkable human story behind it.
