Lou is the living picture of “patriot.” I thank him for his service and for sharing it.

My favorite Vet! The best man I know, I am proud to call Lou my Uncle.

Lou is my brother-in-law. Thanks Larry for posting this profound moving interview!

Lou, my father Daniel O'Connell served with you in the same unit and can be seen in one of the pictures posted in the beginning... he is the one you are sitting next to that has the bandages on, I also have seen you in some of his pictures he has shared with us of Vietnam.
Thank you for sharing your story, some of which sounds familiar to what my dad shared with us about some of his tour/s..and the traveling he did outside Vietnam with the Army. Lots of Australia stories that you mentioned.
Sadly, I lost my dad to Cancer Oct 27th 2017. I wish my dad was around to see this!
God Bless and Thank You for your service❤

Thank you so very much for your service Lou! 🇮🇹🇺🇸 All our Service man  deserve the best!

A true patriot, Louis went to war at a young 20 years old, putting his life at risk in the most horrible and depressing conditions in a hostile land.   It is my honor to love and respect this man for his courage, honesty and love of country!  Love you brother-in-law!

Much love and respect to my brother-in law Lou. Thank you so much for your bravery and service to our great country.  I remember sending you letters as a little girl and seeing your army picture on my sister Donna’s bureau. I remember one letter you sent home to her telling how a bullet had just missed your head and how you had to watch a friend die in front of you as he stepped on a mine field.  God bless you. I couldn’t even imagine what you have had to endure. You deserve the utmost respect for your sacrifices.  Love you Lou!  ❤️ Lauri (JazzyGems)

Lou, as soon as I saw your last name I knew iI had to watch. Being a Italian myself, I love this man. He is very honest and told it like it was. God bless you Lou, stay close to God!! ✝️☮️

Mr. Deprizio should be very proud of his sacrifices and bravery. His honest opinion on all the wars we were in is so true.
Remember, the outcome of our Armed Forces at each of these wars effects us at home directly.  They are our nation's pride and joy.  Imagine what would become of us if they didn't win World War II?

God bless you Lou Deprizio and thank YOU for your service!

America needs more guys like Lou.  I bet he makes a good friend.  What's awful is that there's a lot of guys like him that didn't make it back.  Lou is so right...we live in a great country and many people made the ultimate sacrifice for it.  Thanks for your service!

God Bless you Larry, great work you're doing.

Like a lot of Vietnam Veterans Lou says he hasn't been to the Wall and he doesn't want to go there, he just can't.  It is an overwhelming emotional place to go to.  I was there for Veteran Days this year and it was the 40th Anniversary of the dedication of the Wall.

My mother didn't hear from my brother for a long time. She thought he was dead.I use to watch my mother cry on the back porch which made me cry.I was like nine years old.My mother contacted the Red Cross.Well his commander jump my brother butt and told him he will write a letter to my mother every week unless he was on a mission or a patrol in the jungle for a period of time.My brother did alot of intelligence work and knew the mountain yard tribe real well.Well me and my mom was sitting on the porch and the mailman comes up and gives my mom a letter from my brother.she started crying and then I started crying knowing he was a live.My mother knew the mailman real good and knew my mother was waiting on a letter from my brother. The mailman was so happy to walk up and give her the letter. He actually stood around and ask my mother if he could stay and listen to what my brother was saying. My brother told my mother please don't ever do that again. He got his ass chewed out.He told my mother that there is time's where he can't right because he was on special missions and stayed in the jungle for long periods of time.It was such a relief to hear from him knowing he wasn't dead

Mr. Deprizio may not have made America great, but he is sure keeping it that way. Thank you sir. I am just North of you in Fort Myers. I would love to spend 10 minutes learning from you!

I have nothing but respect for this man. Why, not only for his service and sacrifice, because he is my brother-in-law. I know him on a personal level and the accomplishments he has achieved will astound you. Smart tenacious successful business man and patriot. Learned some things from this man you will not find in a book. 🇺🇸

I love this one! Very real and very raw, told it like it was, didn’t hold anything back…he painted a true picture of what it was like there. I could close my eyes and see his words be painted on the canvas of what was known as the Vietnam war. Thank you Larry for all that you do.

An Italian American WARRIOR!! Thank you Mr Deprizio

Thank you for your service. Godspeed!
