Today we're in Colorado Springs doing some bourbon hunting, and things seem to go our way from the very beginning. Along the way, we visit several stores with incredible selections, including one of the most thoughtfully curated collections of craft whiskey we've ever seen.

We're joined by a knowledgeable local bourbon fan who helps point us in the right direction, and thanks to some perfect timing, we even manage to stumble into an allocated drop. Between the unique bottles, interesting stores, and a little bit of luck, this hunt quickly turns into one we'll remember for a long time.

Let us know which Colorado Springs stores we should check out next time.

Brewzle - thanks for the opportunity to ride around town on the hunt that day - let me know when you’re back in the Springs and we’ll do it again👊

Shawn was a great local guide with deep knowledge of the bourbon scene. Finding previously allocated whiskey in cases on the floor is a telling commentary on the softness of the current market. They simply have too much whiskey to continue their old game of manufactured supply shortages.

Thought it was interesting to hear that the reason why the market has full inventory of buffalo trace products and other allocations is because their distributor changed and so they aren’t holding back inventory or attaching it to sales incentives. Most people think the issue is the distillery themselves purposely not producing enough product. This little glimpse into the distributor really debunks that part of the story. Hope the rest of the country catches up like this.

When I am at work it puts a smile on my face knowing Brewzle is out their ripping barrel proofs off the shelves

Brewzle gets a free barrel pick of Stagg Jr. I haven't even seen a bottle of Stagg Jr in 2 years hunting. We live different lives.

Hundreds of people waited in line for a few hours in Ohio yesterday just for a chance at a few dozen bottles of stag, Blanton's gold and wfp lol. So this is hilarious to see.

Made me miss Colorado Springs even more! Shawn was a really good compliment to your hunting style. I could watch more videos of you two. Keep up the great work!

Fun fact, I met a guy who worked at laws whiskey in 2014ish whom I sold my Subaru Outback too. He mentioned working there and I said if he threw in a bottle of their whiskey with the cash offer we could call it a deal.

I still have that bottle sitting in my shelf and saw Laws a couple years ago in Florida. Cool to see them growing like that.

Just want to say love your show. And I also want to say thanks for coming to Colorado and taking cases of bourbons away from people living in the state trying to obtain just 1 bottle. We're not all celebrities that can bribe stores with free advertising for all the bottles you can carry at just about MSRP. I'm new to this collecting and learning from my failures. So please don't be offended by my rant and me thinking how selfish you are for coming into my home and taking so much away that I can't get 1 fucking bottle of single barrel, because the stores tell me you took all their stock.

So sorry I just found your channel !!….automatic subscribe when I saw this visit to Cheers in C-Springs…my work had me out there twice recently and I found the best prices ever (for me) on Weller Reserve and Weller Antique. Both of those are hard for me to find in NW Florida. Keep it up! I’m learning some interesting stuff about the distribution, allocation and general supply and demand impacts in the bourbon market. Thanks for that.
