The first hearing in the murder trial concerning the suspicious death of the famous singer Güllü was held at the Yalova Courthouse. Her daughter, Tuğyan Gülter, who is being tried as a murder suspect, and her son, Tuğberk Gülter, who is seeking justice for his mother, faced each other in court for the first time in months. Unable to control her tears in court, Tuğyan denied the charges of "killing a close relative" and the allegations made by her friend Sultan, who confessed. Speaking to Habertürk after the hearing, Tuğberk Gülter stated that his sister's confessions were full of contradictions and demanded that the Turkish judiciary determine whether his mother was harmed. The prosecutor requested an aggravated life sentence for Tuğyan Gülter, and the hearing was adjourned until October 9th to address outstanding issues.
