I was in 5th grade in Ft. Wainwright, Alaska when our teacher made the announcement that Kennedy had been shot. I will turn 70 next month and I can honestly say that no other event in my lifetime affected me as much as this did. You could just feel the gloom and sadness everywhere. Thank you for your sincere and honest interview.

I wish physicians today were of this demeanor that is displayed in this interview

"Was there anything I should have asked and didn't?" THAT was a superlative question.

What an articulate gentleman. Over the decades we’ve lost this level of polish and professionalism.

Such a gentleman. So cordial and right to the point. I wish we could have thousands of doctors like him today. Quality men like this are a rare breed today.

This man is the epitome of professionalism. So much respect. In awe of his ability to recall everything about this day. ❤

This gentle doctor is a historical treasure.

He didn't choose to be such an integral part of this story - history chose him and he answered the call as best he could. After reading countless articles and interviews about Trauma Room One, I can't believe anyone would think these doctors at Parkland did anything but try all they could to save JFK.

My father was a general practitioner who did house calls in the country. He got there driving, but sometimes he had to wait, by the side of the country road, to be picked up by the husband who would arrive by skydoo in the middle of the night, because in Quebec (Canada) where we lived, it snowed a lot in those days during Winter. The husband would take my father to the house to deliver the baby. He was my hero, a humble and caring doctor/man, like Dr. McClelland.

Humility and integrity. Not many people left like this gentleman. What a great interview.

What a total gentleman Dr.McClelland is. I wish the politicians that run our country had half the integrity this man has. What a wonderful country we would live in if they did.

It's pretty incredible listening to how SHARP this man still is...
It's crazy to think about the fact that he can still recall SO much, in such vivid detail...
May he RIP🙏

What an intelligent, nice, gentleman. A rarity in our present society.

If you want to know exactly what happened in the ER room, listen to this man. Very intelligent, no forgotten information, and a straight to the point guy. He’s not an “old fart” out of his mind, government lackey.

He is such a wonderful man. Such a gentleman and humble. Clearly this is something that he has remembered with such clarity because it was such a tragedy. I can’t imagine how horrific this was for all the ER staff at Parkland. Thank you sir for your account of this horrific death.
Thank you to the interviewer as well. Asking the right questions and giving the doctor plenty of time to answer.
